✨ Intern Spotlight: Meet Nicholas Raguindin! ✨
Nicholas graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a B.S degree in accounting. He is part of the Finance department supporting the team on many projects over the last 10 months. We are saying goodbye to Nick as he has accepted a full-time accounting position!
💬 Favorite project at West Basin so far?
“One of my favorite projects here at West Basin was helping curate the Annual Budget booklet by creating different graphs and charts showcasing West Basin’s budgets vs. actuals for years past to see how the agency has been performing. Another one of my favorite projects at West Basin outside of accounting/finance would have to be the Annual Recycled Water Screening that the interns shadowed with staff at the Cal Water well in Redondo Beach.”
We’re grateful for everything Nicholas has brought to West Basin! 🌎💧
✨ Intern Spotlight: Meet Fernando Gonzalez! ✨
Fernando graduated from Cal State Dominguez Hills with a B.S in Business Administration: Marketing Management. He worked with the Communications Department supporting the team with planning the annual Water Harvest Festival, developing marketing strategies for public programs, social media posts, and served as the team’s liaison between the Chambers of Commerce and the District. We are saying goodbye early to Fernando as he moves on to a full-time position.
💬What has been your favorite part about working with West Basin?
“Working with the District and the communications department has been an incredibly valuable experience—one I truly didn’t want to end. The culture and work environment at West Basin made me feel welcome from day one and played a meaningful role in my personal and professional growth.
I’m especially grateful to my supervisors, Jenn and Darryl, for their warm welcome and ongoing support. Over the past few months, they have taken the time to answer my questions, provide thoughtful feedback, and mentor me every step of the way.
I will always look back on my time at West Basin with appreciation as I continue to grow in my career.”
We’re grateful for everything Fernando has done for West Basin and were excited to follow his career! 🌎💧
