I didn't know Gabe as well as I would have liked to, but over the last year, we've shared the stage many times at the beehive and every show Gabe would get there early and sit at the bar, getting a bite to eat plus a drink or two. I'd get there early to sit with him and we'd chat, share a meal, talk about things happening in our lives, the instruments that interested us and even music history with a slew of jokes thrown in between. It was always a great time and after chatting, i always felt ready to play with him. Gabe always made an impression on people wherever he went, as many of you know; im beyond lucky to have been one.
Gabe really was a gift to the world, he made so many people smile. Ill cherish those memories with him; Rest easy Gabe you'll be missed
