WE WON A STUDENT ACADEMY AWARD!
entering film school was a risk and i knew that going in, but it’s moments like these that make that risk all the more worth it. i was so fortunate to be brought on to this project only a month before its premiere, and through the constant support of my crew, was able to finish what now is an academy award winning film.
thank you aaron for trusting me with your project and giving a first time documentary editor a chance. and to chris and rachel, thank you for sharing your passion and love of film and people with me throughout the project; i genuinely could not have finished the film without your insight, heart and devotion. thank you to the academy for recognizing our film and creating a platform for us to share this important story. thank you to my family for your constant support and trust in my artistry and passion. and lastly thank you to my friends who pulled all nighters, listened to me ramble on the phone about how i didn’t like the cut, or just simply were there when i needed a smile. cheers from london 🥂
