It was a profound honor to be recognized at an event graced by industry stalwarts such as Ar. Christopher Benninger, Ar. Kashef Chowdhury, Ar. Sanjay Mohe, Ar. Sanjay Puri, Prof. Kulbhushan Jain, and many other visionaries who continue to shape the fabric of Indian architecture.
The Award-Winning Research: Our work explores the frontier of design technology—specifically, leveraging AI to predict subjective design opinions such as beauty, originality, and safety. At WEsearch Lab, we are committed to bridging the gap between human intuition and computational intelligence, and receiving this acknowledgment from the IIA reinforces the importance of this pursuit.

To put that into perspective, that is 22 times the number of Indian casualties in the Kargil War. Even more staggering? Nearly 37% of these fatalities are preventable simply by ensuring the proper use of PPE kits - helmets, safety harnesses, and reflective vests.
At WEsearch Lab, we believe technology should solve real-world crises. A couple of years ago, our team (along with Saikat Chakraborty) built a demo for PPE compliance detection using computer vision. By visiting active construction sites and training an AI model on real-world footage, we developed a system capable of spotting safety violations in real-time.
