Talking to trans folks everyday is the coolest. (The illest, best, sickest, sweetest, neatest, meanest most gnarly and seriously awesome thing ever. Trans people are so cool.)
We support folks through whatever they’re going through. We know nothing was built with trans folks in mind so we help make that light at the end of the tunnel brighter, quicker. Wherever you’re headed we show up with a lot of hope, ready to hold all the baggage so you can focus on being you.
Trans folks deserve stability, rest and joy.
For us that looks like:
✨ Peer support from trans humans
🧠 Wellness planning designed to give you spoons, not take ‘em
🏥 Health navigation that’s collaborative and all about YOU
🧳 Relocation assistance for folks seeking safety
We’re building community-rooted systems of care that help trans people move from surviving to thriving.

We need monthly donors. Not just today, not just on Tuesdays, not just because it’s December.
We need your help because trans people deserve systems of care they can count on every single month. All the time. No matter what.
Right now, @WERQTOGETHER is: 🏠 helping trans folks relocate to safety 💬 providing trauma-informed peer support, wellness planning & personal health navigation (through certified/state registered traditional health workers) 🛍️ running weekly marketplaces and support socials 📚 building a statewide resource for gender expansive Oregonians
🚀 developing a Tenant’s Right training through a trans lens and an Affordable Housing Defense Network that aims to KEEP TRANS FOLKS HOUSED
🕵️ building capacity around Fair Housing investigations 🛠️ and creating infrastructure that protects trans futures near and far
Trans people deserve so much.
Monthly donors keep all of this moving. You can help us respond faster, plan smarter, and show up for our community with stability instead of scarcity.
If you believe in the work, and you want to help protect trans futures, we’d love to have you in our corner. 💚

I’m gonna tell you about RINNA tho (fake name) - RINNA is black and trans and was getting evicted a couple months ago.
1) Referred her to @clearclinicpdx drop in noon on Fridays for assistance > picked her up after and they’d got her rental assistance for a month.
2) Took her to worksource Oregon that same day - she got on the STEP program.
3) She enrolled to PCC later that week. She got FAFSA setup.
4) We navigated potential roomies and house shares - but ultimately she signed her own lease with College Housing Northwest. (CHNW aims to be 15-20% below market rates and has no income requirements, no rental history requirement, no late rent till the 9th)
5) Moving her in right now.
She starts school in a couple weeks. She’s all smiles y’all.
From facing eviction to facing a future - I’m honored to get to witness this kinda stuff. Every week! Every month! All year long!
Trans people are awesome! Trans people belong everywhere. Trans people deserve the world.

Another weekend = another furniture bank visit and move-in 🚚💪
A QT family of 3 in HUD housing just got everything they need to finish furnishing their home. 🥳
Super fun picking out cute knick knacks for their kiddo! Found some beautiful frames and art. Tons of organization and baskets. And we loaded up the uhaul ourselves! Never any cost to peers!
Thank you @communitywarehouse for hooking us up with the goods! 🛋️🪞🫶🏽
Lee called Appalachia home for 15 years before Hurricane Helene displaced zem. Now they’re priced out, resources are gone, and living trans in North Carolina keeps getting harder. Zir heading west to start over somewhere safer.
$50 raised of $2,000.
Every bit helps.

Cleo is a Black intersex trans woman in Arizona who hasn’t been able to drive or work in two years due to chronic illness. ICE threats are part of her daily reality. She’s trying to get to Portland where the transit system actually makes independence possible for her. She’s the most supported campaign on our list this week and still only 15% to her goal.

Melody is leaving Utah! Saying byye to bathroom bans, HRT threats, and a queer community too small to find her people in. She’s autistic, has ADHD, is on SSI, and has mapped out exactly what she needs to get to Portland.

Elliot is moving to Portland in May to get his master’s in mental health counseling. We need more trans therapists. His Grad PLUS loans just got cut by the federal government. He’s disabled, autistic, and can’t work while in school. He just needs support to get there and get stable. His cat Simon is also making the move.
$178 raised of $5,000.

Lexi makes $11 an hour at Popeyes. She’s been applying everywhere and keeps getting told companies already have their “inclusive employee.” Her fiancé is disabled. They have a son. They’re about to lose their home. Louisiana isn’t working. Oregon is part of the plan.

Got denied on an apartment? Bad credit? Eviction history? These three tools exist specifically to change the answer from no to yes.
Rent Well. Housing Connector. OneApp. They do different things, and you can use all three together.
