I wanted to move away from the ‘girls can do what men can do’ narrative, and just tell a story about someone who’d sacrifice all time and matter to fulfil their dreams. It’s not about being a boy or a girl, it’s about a deep love for the game. Felt good to take a step back from the constant race to capture attention through strategic hooks and flashy visuals - back to some storytelling.
