As a UW–Madison alum, being entrusted to kick off the 2026 Buckinghams awards was a true honor! This annual showcase highlights not only athletic performance, but also academic achievement, leadership, perseverance, and impact beyond sport. It began with the obvious: performing a sweet, simple rendition of our school fight song, "On Wisconsin!" on my @woodviolins_cle electric violin. Before long, the audience joined in, creating one of the most memorable moments of my career. 🤯🎻🎶 I was not prepared for that level of energy and response! It was electric in a way that’s hard to put into words. 🥹 Thank you Wisconsin Athletics for this awesome opportunity, and all the student athletes for bringing the fun to @overturecenter ! As I strolled the stunning Promenade Lobby of @overturecenter playing my final song of the year, "Auld Lang Syne", I couldn't help but feel emotional. Reflecting upon the events of the prior year, I was absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude. 🥹 I had the pleasure of performing 92 times in 2024, each show its own special experience with wonderful people - in the audience, as well as on stage w/my bandmates. I feel so fortunate for the opportunities I had, collaborating with creative teams and event planners to design the musical ambience for all kinds of special events! I was honored to perform for weddings, memorial services, parades, markets, conferences, soirées, tastings, release parties, a screenplay premiere, holiday parties, a tree lighting ceremony, and many other special events in many different cities... Living the dream, not only as a soloist, but also with the most talented musicians and bands around! 🎶 Each and every concert is now a cherished memory, and each one contributed to my growth as an artist. I don't say this to brag, just that I'm delighted to be a different person and (at least I hope) a much better musician going into 2025. 💪 Every single time I play music, I feel like the luckiest and happiest person on earth. If you were any part of my musical "days gone by" from the year 2024, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! 🥰 I wish you the best in the New Year and I'm really excited to see what 2025 brings! ✨🍾❤️

Last year I attempted to virtually join @lindseystirling and her dancers on the beach! 💃🎻 Wish I was more coordinated, but I loved learning the song and dance... Should I try again with one of her new songs this year? 🎄✨

A few behind-the-scenes moments from The Buckinghams! It takes an incredible team to bring an event like this to life. The staff at the @overturecenter were outstanding, as always. Technically sharp, organized, and genuinely welcoming - a truly seamless experience from beginning to end. The @uwbadgerbuilt event planning team was just as exceptional. Thoughtful, communicative, and intentional in every detail, including the lovely gift bag and snacks in my dressing room! 🥰 I was so fortunate to have @scottmarkus , the best photo/videographer/assistant/partner & moral support imaginable right alongside me, helping manage the day's logistics and providing endless moral support! ❤️ And, of course, the wonderful student athletes, Wisconsin Athletics staff, and other guests - decked out to the nines, yet still unafraid to shout and clap in support - You have no idea how much your enthusiasm meant to me! ❤️🤍☺️ Incredibly grateful to have worked alongside such a professional and dedicated group of fabulous people! #UWBadgers #WisconsinAthletics #TheBuckinghams #UWMadison #ElectricViolin
