Treating this like a mile marker. Today is September 20th, 2023. I’m neck deep into my first year as a publisher, this is my room/ office/ studio/ creative epicenter basically it all happens here. I like to dispel any notion of having it figured out, I’m very much feelin around in the dark, but I’m driven to figure it out. Behind me is my 5th publication, not ready for release but give me a few weeks.
I don’t know what it’ll look like in a year from now but I’ll check in again. Left Hand Printing is small in size but has Godzilla level ambition. For the friends and support I’m grateful beyond words, I appreciate those that are willing to grow with me.

Swapped out my old mixer for the #teenageengineering KO Sidekick, pros, I’m finally outputting mixer sound and not just what I was heading from the p6, making it so much easier to finalize my mix. The built in effects are a gem, I’m creating new grooves out of my beats live and that’s fire. FADERS, I been in need of some faders AND the EQ on this is badass. I performed for about 2 hours and only burnt out 8% of the battery, ran it in the studio all day as well. No complaints here, if they find a way to make updates they’ll be a great addition.

Been taking my time these last days, I missed that feelin. Under the hood, there’s always a rush. Rush to work, rush home, rush to rest, shit sometimes I even rush resting just to get back up and into something else. It’s time to allow ease into my life.
Music is freedom. It’s liberation. It’s spiritual. It can the answer and question. We all start somewhere, and maybe moment like these are what’ll spark the start for one or two of these kids.
Had a great time with @todaysfuturesound and the homies at @jphcharter . Wishing these little ones all the luck and Light they’ll need to keep going.

Do what you love, love what you do, life’s way too short. Takes some time to lock in on what makes you you and that’s fine, but when you’ve got it, hold on tight.
This was my first piece of music in weeks, the process is a little rigid for me after time off but it came together naturally. Like most things in life, you just gotta put the pieces in the right place.

I don’t like breaks, I like the flow state. I don’t like when things get in the way, I like moving how I move. I love this life of being an artist, I don’t like putting things before my craft. Yet, and, still, life must be lived, bills must be paid, and at the end of the day, I’ll still find myself at this desk. Chipping away at marble, diggin. Not just through music, but through thought, through experience, through all kinds of pressure (both societal and self imposed), finding myself through all that noise.
