I love this illustration of a wolf. It’s from a card sold in @EagleBookshop Bedford. It’s from a damaged book. I am definitely channeling this wolf’s energy today. He looks so cheeky. “Hello there, can I come in? No I’m definitely not a big bad wolf”

Not spooky just joyful. Our nesting box has been busy with the blue tit parents feeding the very noisy chicks inside. None of the chicks are appearing at the window yet to be fed but it won't be long hopefully.

Have you heard the latest episode of Weird in the Wade. It's about a haunting at Tempsford Hall. The first staircase in the picture below is Tempsford's Hall's current staircase. The others are some of my favourites from else where: Eltham Palace, The Hell Fire Club in Dublin, The Higgins Bedford and Sydney Opera House. There is something a little spooky about stairs I think

When in Ampthill (which I was yesterday) you must channel your inner Catherine of Aragon. Ampthill has so much history and later this summer I’m teaming up with Bryan Bland again for an episode about Ampthill’s historically spooky side. You can be Catherine too at the Queen’s Head pub

Here’s the pod-cat Kasumi looking quite spooky (she wanted to go outside and chase magpies.) Now I’ve got your attention, I want to give a shout out to my fellow disabled people and those with long term health conditions. This is just a reminder to be kind to yourself. And a reminder to myself. 👻💕

What is this? An outline of a foot? Pareidolia? Shev who works in the Golden Pheasant pub found this mark behind the bar after mopping the floor a couple of weeks ago. It looks so much like a foot. It was small about 3/4 the size of Shev's foot. But it's not a foot print. It appeared in the wet floor but was easily wiped away. There was only one. What do you think? One of the Golden Pheasant gnomes, the ones we don't talk about hopping about? Just a simple mark that looks like foot? Let me know what you think.

I was in London today for my other non podcasting job, advising TfL on disability access. London was looking very bright. The national Windrush monument was looking beautiful in the soft morning light.

Did you work at Tempsford Hall? I’d love to hear from you if you experienced or sensed anything strange whilst working there! The next episode will cover the Hall’s 20th and 21st century history. Contact me here or email [email protected]

A good friend of weird in the Wade was lucky enough to visit Tempsford Hall for work today. Although this is a newer version of the hall (the original burnt down in 1898) it was built literally in the ashes of the old hall and the basements and some of the chimneys are original. You can listen to today’s podcast episode all about a haunting at the hall in the 1840s wherever you get podcasts.

In today’s episode A Haunting At Tempsford Hall I talk about and dramatise a drunken riot in Tempsford Church in 1832. Here are a couple of pictures of the church. This episode features @emilyellewatts as Lucinda the maid. @ampthillghostwalks plays the butler, police constable, a rioter and drunk. @olie_campbellmusic also plays one of the drunks and a rioter. You can listen wherever you get your podcasts.
