#TBT Art in Odd Places 2025: VOICE brought big energy to West Hollywood last summer as we celebrated 40 years of Cityhood and the 20th edition of this beloved public art festival. Curated by Deborah Oliver. From July 25-27, 2025, Plummer Park, West Hollywood Park, and the Sunset Strip came alive with more than 35 artists sharing powerful, playful, and thought-provoking works about how our voices shape the world around us.
In this artist interview, Kacie Lyn Martinez discusses The Skeletons in My Closet, an interactive weaving installation in which participants write a never-voiced truth on a fabric strip and weave it into a communal tapestry. This silent, anonymous act transforms private vulnerability into shared expression, symbolizing how hidden stories can unite us.
Stay tuned for more artist interviews coming to you weekly.
