A huge heartfelt thank you to each and every person who has donated, bought a pair of boobs, came to the comedy club (total stop to be announced) and just been so encouraging of this adventure. You are all bloody brilliant. The money is going to do some amazing work raising awareness of breast cancer for so many people, thank you @coppafeel
Sure what else would you be at on a Saturday night?! A cracking @the_braid_comedy_club event in aid of @coppafeel The 0% Kopperberg settling the nerves 😜 Such fun wearing a giant boob. Weirdly if it wasn’t for a cancer diagnosis we may never have started the comedy club. At least one positive out of a shitty time. Huge thanks to @argyll_images_photography for capturing the night, she’s a proper babe 🩷
Took the train to the Port today. We walked the Ulster Way to Portstewart, got food and an ice cream and walked back. 8.4 miles in the bag. Training for China has its plus sides . I wish this had smellovision as the gorse smell was so strong and dreamy today. Such a lovely day.
Wow, you are all amazing. £70 off my halfway point already. You are unbelievable. A huge heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported my fundraising so far. I am so so grateful for you all x
People say to me “you’re always at something, do you ever sit on your arse’, I do sit on my arse, probably too much, but yes I do try loads of things and the more random the better. Here’s the reason why. 18 years ago today I was told I had breast cancer, WTF! 32 with 3 kids, the youngest only 2, how the hell can that happen?! I was too young apparently, what a load of balls! It went from a cyst, to cancer which can be treated with radiotherapy, to being in some lymph nodes and needing everything fired at it. I know how lucky I am that my GP didn’t just fob me off and I got seen really quickly and got everything fired at it. Treatment was a fucker and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. It is the gift that keeps on giving and slaps you in the face every now and then to remind you it’s a fucker and it was there. So the cliché is I’m fucking lucky to be here and I know that. So life is about experiences and memories, not for sitting watching it pass by, sometimes I sit too much. So for my 18th year post diagnosis I am doing a trek to the Great Wall of China for @coppafeel to raise awareness for breast cancer in young people. People are now getting diagnosed younger than I was. If you’d like to support the charity you can either come the Braid Comedy Club on 25th April or you can donate to my just giving page, link in my bio or comments.
