Yesterday, our team did amazing work at Al Madinah School helping collect votes and making sure our youth had the opportunity to participate in the Participatory Budget process. They were able to collect over 200 votes 🗳️✨
It was inspiring to see young voices engaged and empowered to help decide how community funding can make a real difference. Every vote matters, and we are proud to support youth leadership and civic engagement in our community. 💙

Last Friday, we celebrated a beautiful and unforgettable Mother’s Day Celebration, bringing together women from diverse backgrounds and communities in an evening filled with love, joy, and appreciation for amazing mothers.
The event featured wonderful live music, a delicious dinner, and exciting raffle prizes that made the night even more special and memorable for everyone in attendance.
We are incredibly proud that all of our staff members at Women’s Empowerment Coalition of NYC are strong, inspiring women and amazing mothers. A heartfelt thank you goes to our dedicated team for the outstanding work and preparation that made this celebration such a success. 👏
During the event, the founder of the organization and the CEO and members of the Board of Directors were honored by members of the City Council, with special attendance from Council Member Alexa Avilés, and representatives from the City Council office, Kayla Santosuosso and Tiffany Cabán.
One of the most touching moments of the evening was when several young ladies from our Young Women’s Leadership Program honored their mothers with heartfelt tributes that filled the room with pride and emotion. 💕💕💕💕💕

Women’s Empowerment Coalition NYC has been advocating and organizing the community to speak up about safety concerns on 3rd Avenue. We are grateful to move one step forward with the official opening of the Sunset Park Greenway.
This is a great win for our community and an important step toward safer streets and more green space for everyone. A special thank to all the elected officials, community organizations, community leaders, and everyone who stood hand in hand with our community to make this happen.
