Josh from @j_ampgroup engaged us about 18 months ago looking for help with growing his electrical business.
Like many of our clients, Josh had built his company off the back of referrals and word of mouth, but was struggling to attract new builders and acquire those higher-end projects he wanted to be working on.
As a result, we implemented an organic and paid social media and content strategy, focused on building J-Amp Electricalâs brand. By consistently showcasing the company, their work, team, clients and craftsmanship, weâve been able to significantly increase brand awareness, recognition, and ultimately, build amazing trust with their target market.
By doing so, over the past 18 months we have helped J-Amp:
đ Establish a unique brand presence
đ Generate dozens of qualified leads
đ Secure multiple contracts with new builders
An absolute pleasure working with these guys and I canât wait to see whatâs in store for the future!
Weâve been working with Jake and the team from @prolinemetalcladding for about two years now and the results achieved are truly incredible.
Like many of our clients we have helped, when we first started @prolinemetalcladding was struggling to:
1) Attract and convert high-quality leads
2) Reduce reliance on unpredictable referrals
3) Grow the companyâs online presence
4) Attract and recruit quality staff
In order to solve these, we developed and implemented an organic and paid social media strategy aimed at building the companyâs brand online, generating high-quality leads and recruiting some unbelievable talent. Over the past 2 years, we are proud to have helped Proline:
đ Build one of the largest online presence in the construction industry for their field
đ Generate 1000s of qualified leads
đ Secure multiple contracts and an additional 7-figures worth of work
đ Scale from 20 to 70+ full-time staff
Proline has now expanded into 3 seperate companies, fabricates its own material and works on some of the largest commercial projects in the state. Hereâs a look at what Jake has to say about working with us.
Four years working with @halexgroup_ .
Over that time, weâve seen the business grow from a small team of carpenters into the builder they are today - moving into bigger projects and new opportunities.
Itâs been great to build a genuine long-term relationship along the way and watch the company grow year after year.
Looking forward to what the next chapter brings.
Good catching up with Firat from @melbourneplumbingandgasfitting .
On site at their completed 7-unit townhouse project in Brighton, capturing some of the work.
Always good working with operators who take pride in what they do.
Good to see how far @truelinecladding has come over the time weâve worked together.
What started as a smaller operation has grown into a seriously well-established business delivering large projects across Melbourne, backed by a solid team, strong systems, and in-house CNC capability.
Our focus has been building out the brand alongside that growth - capturing the work properly, showcasing the team and helping position the business for the next stage.
Since partnering together, the business has doubled in size, which is a credit to James, the team, the work they deliver.
Plenty more to come.
Great catching up with Danny and the team at @dr.caulkaust đ«±đ»âđ«ČđŒ
Two months in and itâs been a strong start with a crew that takes real pride in their work and the standard they bring to every project.
Looking forward to what's ahead.
A lot of the construction companies we work with have grown off referrals.
And to be fair, itâs usually a good sign. It means the work is strong, clients trust you, and people are willing to pass your name on.
Weâve experienced the same at We Build Tradies. Most of our growth over the past 6 years has come through referrals.
Where it becomes challenging - and weâve seen this both in our own business and across clients - is when it becomes the only source of work.
Referrals are unpredictable. They come when they come, and they can slow down without much warning.
When work is inconsistent, itâs difficult to build any real structure around the business.
Planning becomes harder. Hiring becomes risky. And you often end up taking whatever comes through, rather than being selective.
This is usually the point where something needs to change. Referrals should support the business, not carry it.
The goal isnât to replace them, but to build a more consistent system around them so they become a bonus, not something you rely on.
PROJECT IN PROGRESS // Watsonia RSL
Weâre continuing to make great progress on our Watsonia RSL project. Structural steel now in place, with the roof ready to be installed.
Itâs exciting to see the space come together, and we canât wait to see the next phase unfold.

A big part of what we do at We Build Tradies is help construction companies with recruitment.
Itâs something we donât always talk about, but it comes up in almost every conversation.
Itâs bloody hard to find good people - apprentices, qualified guys, office staff.
And the reality is, itâs not just about putting up a job ad and hoping for the best.
A lot of it comes down to how the business is positioned and what people see before they even reach out.
Thatâs where we spend a lot of time at We Build Tradies.
Not just helping our clients win more work - but helping them attract the right people into the business.
4 years with @j_ampgroup đ€
From a small team to now delivering their first commercial shop fit-out - which is a huge step forward for the business.
Whatâs great about this one is the client on the job. They were one of the first clients J-Amp picked up through our social marketing a few years back.
It didnât just lead to the first project. It turned into a solid relationship over time, which now leads to something like this.
This is the part people donât really think about. When you attract the right clients early and build properly, it tends to compound into much bigger opportunities.
Good to see it all come together.
Strategy over luck. The BNG Australia evolution.
BNG Australia is a strong example of what happens when a capable construction business is backed by a structured marketing system.
Like many growing businesses in the industry, their early growth was driven by referrals, relationships, and reputation. A solid foundation, but not a scalable one.
As the business looked to grow, the focus shifted towards building a more consistent and predictable pipeline.
Together, weâve implemented a system designed to strengthen visibility, improve positioning, and support long-term growth.
The early shifts are already clear in enquiry consistency, lead quality, and confidence in planning ahead.
With the foundations now in place, the next phase is about refining, scaling, and building momentum.
This is how sustainable growth is built.
