We are already proud of the work you do, and we are delighted to see you on an awards shortlist!
And congratulations to everyone else who has made it to the shortlist 👏
We’ve been featured in the Long Eaton supplement in Furniture News, as part of the @long_eaton_furniture_guild Long Point Show build up!

We are proud that our joint MD James Woolley has recently been admitted as a Freeman to @furnituremakerscompany
WEBS Training have long been supporters of the livery, particularly The Furniture Makers Company Charity, which supports those in the furniture industry that may fall on hard times – and has even supported WEBS apprentices in the past. We always encourage employers and learners to get involved in local events to help built the community of the industry they have joined.
“I am very pleased to now be a Freeman of The Furniture Makers Company, especially with all the positive work they do.” says James. “I have already met some great people as part of my membership and I’m looking forward to collaborating in future.”
Three others were admitted as Freemen at this admission ceremony, James Lawrence of Ocee and Four Design, Trevor Scott of Rigby Fitted Kitchens, and Geoff Tucker of GRT Countryside Care.
Today we're celebrating @Wickes apprentice Ben Garner - who was nominated by training officer Darren for the dedication he has shown to learning his craft! ⭐️
Read in full what Darren and Ben have to say here on the link in our bio!
“His work is always completed on time, and the neatness of his practical work is excellent. Ben has developed a strong skill set; he is confident without being overconfident, and he is always approachable with a professional outlook. He has a genuine willingness to succeed throughout the programme, and it has truly been a pleasure to teach him.”
“Ben is going to be a real credit to Wickes. Honestly, if Ben turned up to fit a bathroom or kitchen in my own home, I would be extremely happy and completely confident in the quality of his work and customer service skills.”
Ben is approaching the end of his apprenticeship with his end point assessment due in the next few weeks - best of luck in this and wishing you every success in the future!
It’s four weeks to go until Long Point show with The @long_eaton_furniture_guild !
We will be there to answer any apprenticeship query you might have - whether it’s specific to WEBS or apprenticeships in general. So come and say hello to us in the Harrington Mills entrance 👋
Why should you work with WEBS for the apprenticeship scheme in your business?
There are lots of reasons, and here are just a few.
1. We are specialised in furniture and interiors industries – meaning we better understand the needs of your business and the industry, rather than colleges or training providers with masses of courses
2. Over 80% Distinction rate at end point assessment – we are committed to your apprentice for them to achieve the best they can
3. Achievement rates above national average – speaks for itself!
4. Full recruitment support – we will save hours of your time with CV sifting and initial interviews, plus promotion of the role
5. Purpose built workshops – the training time spent at WEBS is valuable skills development, where they have the time to learn and practice in a practical environment
6. Trade experienced training officers – they know the role, they know the demands, they understand the apprentice journey, and they care

Good luck!
Everyone at WEBS would like to say a heartfelt thank you and best wishes to Tyna Burnett as she begins her retirement!
Tyna started in training back in 1987, where she has always been a strong advocate of work-based learning and the invaluable skills learned in an apprenticeship. She fully joined Team WEBS in 2016, after a period of working with WEBS freelance, and has made a difference in the lives of many WEBS apprentices.
It is impossible to put such a huge career into a short post – and we know Tyna has more than enough experiences to write a book! – but we are sure everyone will join us in wishing Tyna a wonderful retirement full of all the things she loves.
