My training split. It’s taken me years to find a training schedule that I actually look forward to and I think I’ve finally found balance. I split my week between strength training and Pilates and honestly, the two together are the reason I feel the best I ever have. Neither one replaces the other. They just work really well side by side. What my week looks like: Mon - lower body weights Tues - mat Pilates Wed - full body strength Thurs - reformer Pilates Fri - lower body weights Sat - mat Pilates Sun - rest This split works for me because I actually enjoy it. I’ve tried doing more, I’ve tried doing less and it took a long time to land here. And now exercise feels like something I get to do rather than something I have to push through. Some weeks don’t look exactly like this and that’s okay. If I’m tired, I rest. If my body needs more recovery, I listen to it. I feel strong and I’m not burnt out. For me, that’s everything.
