Timmy, the humpback whale at the centre of the controversial rescue operation, has been found dead. For weeks, the world watched this story unfold. But while headlines focused on the rescue, the bigger questions remain unanswered: why are whales ending up in danger in the first place? Timmy’s death must mean changes for other whales, and animals should not need to become global spectacles for action to be taken. Let Timmy’s story help protect the animals still fighting to survive. 📲 Head to the link in bio take action now. BREAKING NEWS: French minister Mathieu Lefevre has announced on his social media that the only realistic and time-effective option for Marineland Antibes orcas Wikie and Keijo is relocation to Loro Parque in Spain. It is a heartbreaking reality — but currently the only immediate option available to keep them alive. After nearly 500 days trapped inside a shut-down facility, the public kept hearing that sanctuary solutions were “coming.” But the reality is that no operational orca sanctuary exists anywhere in the world today, and none are close to being ready in a timeframe that could save animals facing an immediate crisis. Some proposed sanctuaries have not even begun construction. We have watched the Whale Sanctuary Project in Canada work toward a sanctuary for over a decade. Millions have been raised, yet nothing has been built. Meanwhile, a global crisis is unfolding across the captive marine mammal industry. Facilities are closing, laws are changing, and animals are being left behind while no real emergency solutions exist. Euthanasia is not an option. Their lives must come first. And the difficult truth many people do not want to face is this: another captive facility is currently the ONLY immediate option to keep these animals alive long enough to hopefully one day see a true sanctuary become reality. The ideal solution doesn’t exists, this is the reality whether we like it or not. We now believe all parties involved should focus on ensuring that the conditions of this transfer fully comply with French law. Footage taken on May 12, 2026

We went through every statement, interview, article and piece of footage that came out of the Timmy rescue operation... and the picture it paints is far darker than what originally made the headlines. A satellite tag that went silent with no explanation. A veterinarian allegedly barred from the animal during its release. Drone footage showing a weakened whale being pulled by its fluke. A regional government that overruled the International Whaling Commission because a whale had gone viral. And now... silence. No sighting, no video of the release, no signal and no accountability. We’re absolutely not saying the people who cared about Timmy were wrong to care, and we care deeply, but seeing the whole picture, we are asking who benefited from it. And more importantly, we’re asking why that same collective and political energy has never been directed at the fishing policies, the ghost nets, and the bycatch crisis that is constantly killing thousands of animals in those SAME waters right now. The ones without names. They also matter. Save this, share this, and if you want to go further: 📲 Head to the link in bio to take action now. It said the duo was in it for “the clicks, likes, and to sell stupid books.” #seaspiracy #timmy #marinewildlife #savetheocean

Manta rays live more than 40 years in the wild. They dive 450 meters deep and migrate thousands of miles. No tank on earth can replicate that. They don't survive in captivity and the industry knows it. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission votes on May 13th. They need to hear what the world wants. 📲 Head to the link in bio to take action now. 8 MONTHS LATER — NOTHING HAS CHANGED AT MEDITERRANEO MARINE PARK. Authorities promised action. The animals are still suffering. This footage was captured in April 2026 at Mediterraneo Marine Park in Malta. Eight months after authorities inspected the facility and pledged improvements, five dolphins and Junior — an elderly solitary sea lion in declining health — remain trapped in the same deteriorating conditions. There is still no adequate shade. The tanks remain dirty, damaged, and visibly neglected, while authorities continue to stay silent despite repeated warnings and concerns raised by NGOs. No meaningful improvements have been made. The animals are still confined inside crumbling concrete enclosures with no clear plan for urgent intervention. How much longer will these animals be left to suffer while those responsible look away? This is not welfare. This is neglect. Join us in demanding action and speaking out for these animals who have been left without a voice. Send your concerns to: [email protected]

You showed up. 4,818 of you. You took action and helped shine a light on what marine parks try to keep hidden — and because of people like you, the world is paying attention. But exposing cruelty is only the beginning. Investigations, drone monitoring, legal pressure, media campaigns, and fighting for stronger laws all take constant resources — and that’s exactly why supporters are so critical to our work at TideBreakers. Right now, for the next 72 hours, our partner Chilli is matching every NEW donation dollar for dollar. That means:$5 becomes $10.$10 becomes $20.Double the impact for the animals — at no extra cost to you. Every donation goes directly towards our campaigns, investigations, and advocacy work. Nobody at TideBreakers is compensated — this work is driven entirely by passion and commitment to the animals. If you’ve ever wanted to do more than just watch from the sidelines — this is your moment. It takes less than 60 seconds. Please join our fight . Link in bio. 🌊

SANCTUARY OR DECEPTION? Welcome to @coffscoastwildlifesanctuary Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary in Coffs Harbour, Australia — formerly known as Pet Porpoise Pool. A deplorable facility built in 1970 that has changed its name three times, but not its practices. This is not a sanctuary. This is a roadside attraction rebranded to mislead the public. Behind the word “sanctuary” lies endless exploitation and animals living in deplorable conditions. This is Bella, Zippy, and Jet — three remaining captive-born dolphins. For years, they have been confined to this tiny, shallow concrete pool just 1.82 meters deep — reportedly 20% smaller than legal standards. These are not rescued animals. They were born in captivity, bred for one purpose: entertainment. They perform and are subjected to endless interaction with tourists through several programs this fake sanctuary sells. Zippy (37), an elderly dolphin suffering from papillomavirus, underwent cancer removal surgery in which part of his tongue was removed. He was performing until the day before his surgery — and back to the circus immediately after. This facility holds over 40 animals — all confined, all part of a system that profits from captivity while hiding behind the illusion of rescue. Sea lions are used during private parties to walk among guests, paint, and pose for photos. When they are not performing, this is where they are kept. Endless circles with nowhere to go. This is not conservation. This is not education. This is exploitation — repackaged. Please share and help us show the truth behind this deplorable attraction. Places like this need to be shut down and animals relocated to better conditions. Join us on May 9, 2026, outside the Coffs “sanctuary” to speak up.

Dolphin Discovery Cancún Update Thank you to everyone who shared our viral video, commented, and took action. Authorities in Mexico are listening. After months of silence, @profepa_mx and @orebora have now conducted two separate visits to the shut-down Dolphin Discovery facility in Cancún. Facility where 9 dolphins still remain trapped, 8 months after the park closed its doors to the public. But their updates are deeply conflicting. PROFEPA says the dolphins are too sick to be relocated, with some reportedly in life-threatening condition. Óscar Rébora, after visiting with two veterinarians, says the opposite — that the dolphins are healthy and conditions are great. So which is it? The videos focus on the water looking clear as proof of improvement and attempt to discredit our footage of the deplorable conditions. But after months of monitoring and hours of footage, we have documented the same cycle over and over: Algae-infested tanks suddenly turned crystal clear within days. This is done through heavy chemical treatment using excessive chlorine and other chemicals while the dolphins remain in the tanks. These toxic treatments can cause severe eye and corneal damage, skin irritation, blowhole irritation, and respiratory distress — symptoms we have repeatedly documented in these dolphins. We have seen this before. At Gulf World Marine Park in Florida, another facility operated by The Dolphin Company, the same chemical treatments were documented, leading to 4 dolphin deaths in just 6 months and serious health issues in others. After our expose, public pressure and official action, Gulf World was shut down and the animals were relocated to safety. This must now happen in Mexico. Please share and take action via the link in our bio to tell authorities to keep monitoring water conditions closely and expedite the dolphin relocation. We will be watching.

Four months ago today, we lost Kshamenk, the loneliest captive orca captured and exploited by @mundomarino.ar for more than three decades. He lived for 33 years in one of the smallest orca tanks in the world. A life measured in concrete walls and silence. He lay motionless at the bottom of his tank — only rising to breathe. For days. Months. Years. A shallow tank, barely larger than his own body. Endless circles that led nowhere. 26 years in isolation from his kind, never seeing another orca. Performing for food — just a few minutes a day to entertain crowds, even when he was sick, even when he was too weak to lift his body onto the platform. His illness didn’t stop the show till hours before he died. He died suddenly. Questions remain unanswered. Why wasn’t a proper necropsy conducted? Why were severe medical issues, including a large tumor, only revealed after? How long was he suffering? His body was dismantled. Disposed of. His tiny tank was refilled. Reused. The truth must be exposed. His story does not end here. Ley Kshamenk law must pass. Accountability must come. We will not stop. We will not forget. Kshamenk didn’t just deserve better. He deserved a life.

CALL TO ACTION! PLEASE HELP! This alarming footage was taken above the abandoned Ventura amusement park and the shut-down Dolphin Discovery facility complex in Cancún, Mexico. Both facilities have been closed indefinitely for months. But the dolphins were never relocated. Nine dolphins were left behind — and it has now been a shocking 8 months. Our team has been monitoring this facility every single week, and what we have witnessed is devastating. The dolphins remain trapped in neglected concrete tanks, swimming endless circles, lying motionless for hours, and waiting by locked gates to be relocated. We have documented dolphins with their eyes tightly shut from severe irritation, visible skin problems, animals repeatedly scraping their bodies against rough concrete walls, and prolonged signs of extreme distress and boredom. After the footage went viral, Mexican authorities carried out an inspection, and Óscar Alberto Rébora Aguilera publicly promised relocation and ongoing welfare inspections. That was 5 months ago. Nothing has happened since! These nine dolphins are still there. Still trapped. Still waiting. How much longer will they be left behind? We need your voice now. Please click the link in our bio and take action before it is too late.

Two years ago today, Inouk was found dead. Inouk was born and lived his entire life at Marineland Antibes. He suffered from ongoing health issues and died in 2024 at just 25 years old from a severe internal infection caused by a sharp metallic object he ingested. His death came only six months after Moana’s, leaving just two orcas from the original group of four. He is survived by Wikie and her son Keijo, who still remain at the now-closed park—now for over a year—in deteriorating, broken tanks surrounded by constant construction. They continue to await relocation, while promises of sanctuaries remain unrealistic and nowhere in sight.
