Today, The Pride Center of Maryland pauses to honor the lives we’ve lost, uplift those living with HIV, and reaffirm our commitment to ending the HIV epidemic together.
World AIDS Day is more than a moment of remembrance. It’s a call to action. A reminder that HIV is not just a medical issue, but a matter of access, equity, education, and compassion. Far too many in our LGBTQ+ communities especially Black and Brown communities continue to face stigma, barriers to care, and disparities that demand our attention and action.
We believe knowledge saves lives. Testing empowers individuals. Treatment works. Prevention is possible. And community care is essential.
Today and every day, we remain committed to creating affirming spaces, expanding access to resources, and fighting stigma through education and advocacy. The work doesn’t stop here and neither do we.
Together, we can stop HIV.
