This marathon was for his Dad ❤️🏃
A huge congratulations to Dom for completing the London Marathon in memory of his dad, Adrian Chester, while raising awareness for organ and blood donation by running for We Are Donors!
Adrian was born with a congenital heart defect and, after spending six months in hospital waiting for a donor, underwent an incredibly rare combined heart and liver transplant in 2015. Thanks to the generosity of his donor, Dom and his family were given more precious years, memories, and moments together that they will always treasure.
Sadly, Adrian passed away in 2023 following complications from COVID, but his story continues to show the life-changing impact organ donation can have.
Every mile Dom ran carried that message forward 🙏 We are incredibly proud and grateful for his support in helping raise awareness of organ and blood donation and inspiring others to have these important conversations.

Every post, every fundraiser and every conversation along the way has helped to spread the word about the importance of organ and blood donation 🩸
Because of this, more people will learn, make informed decisions, and ultimately have the chance to save lives. That’s a lasting impact far beyond the finish line.

Huge shoutout to #TeamKCL for their fantastic What’s Your Blood Type? event with NHS Blood and Transplant today! 🩸👏
Our volunteers were out on campus helping students learn their blood type, start conversations about donation, and understand how something so small can help save lives.
Events like this are exactly what We Are Donors is all about - empowering young people with the knowledge to make informed decisions about blood donation!

Two stories. One cause. One finish line. 🧡
In 2026, Dominic will run the London Marathon in memory of his dad, Adrian. Born with a congenital heart defect and he went on to receive a rare combined heart and liver transplant in 2015 which was a gift that gave his family precious extra years together. His legacy lives on through this run and through the power of organ donation.
Alongside this, Olivia is taking on the same 26.2 miles in support of We Are Donors, a charity built on compassion, education, and hope. As an ambassador, she has seen first-hand how one informed decision can save lives and change futures 🏃♀️
Every day, families wait for a call that could change everything. This marathon is for them, for the donors who gave the greatest gift, and for everyone whose life has been touched by organ donation. 🌎✨
If you can, please support their journey by donating or sharing the page. Every little helps make a life-saving difference.
