WE ARE AUDITIONING 🚨
This season will consist of full length dance theatre production centered around a Creature Feature. This show will echo the research done within A Flower in the Tumbleweeds & twist, distort, and push it forward into a new composition & narrative!
For this season, we are looking to fill 1 open position.
All dance artists that are a part of WAC are paid:
$10 per rehearsal, company class, and community gatherings.
$50 per pop-up performance (2 works or less)
$75 per concert length performance
Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 6:30p - 9:30p & Sundays from 6p-9p.
This process will have one-off rehearsals and updates from July - September with the typical rehearsal schedule starting in October with a proposed show date in late May 2027. All rehearsals & performance are currently slated to take place at Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble.
Timeline of Auditions:
Auditions Forms due by: May 30th
Response to Audition if Invited: June 3rd
Audition on: June 14th from 6p-7:30p at Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble
Notification of Acceptance Status: June 16th

This form acts as an inquiry to audition. We are looking for 1 person who fit the ideologies of We Are Collective & their ability to support the community within the space. We will only accept 10-15 people to participate in the audition due to limited space & need to get to know the human behind the artistry. At this time, we are only accepting in-person auditions.
The audition will look like:
Introductions & Warm Up lead by Audrey Hartnett
Small Combo lead by Tristen Sanborn
Short Devising Exercise lead by Nik Graves
Debrief & Questions lead by Reign Drop

The Wolfpack is back!
🐺🌳🖤
The Wolfpack is a restorative and introspective improvisation dance jam that is focused on themes of nature, using tarot based archetypes. The Wolfpack is made for any and all movers. The only rules to enter the space is to carry respect for you and the community that joins the space on a personal and artistic level. It is essential to the heart of The Wolfpack to celebrate individuals who go against the grain in pursuit of sharing their own stories and concepts that support the pack of like-minded individuals.
🐺🌳🖤
The Wolfpack invites you to join us at the precipice of the mountain. A keeper of snow in the dead of winter, we can feel isolated by the climb or inspired by uncovering the gems within us all. In this class, we will work as a group to accomplish tasks that surround the archetype of the mountain and come together in a way that is unique to the group in the room.

Community, we are SO grateful for all the love you have shown us for this past run of A Flower in the Tumbleweeds. We came full force with the most production value we have had yet, and we’re so glad you enjoyed rodeo. No one does anything alone, and we wouldn’t be here without our talented company, tech team, guest artist, organizers, board members, queer art market vendors, community resource sharers, and volunteers. Our community has shown up for us time and time again and we couldn’t be more grateful. Cheers to our first rodeo! It may not be too long before we’re back in the saddle. 🙂↕️❤️
