Officially a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Alum!
This program is built on curriculum from Babson College, the #1 entrepreneurship school in the nation. Week after week I gained new knowledge and strategy to grow Create + Collaborate. I’m excited to continue growing alongside this national network.
The best part… this is only the beginning.
Last week we joined @tasharaparker on @wfaa to share about our programs for first generation college students and how more people can get involved. We are continuing to grow and reach more students so please be sure to follow us to learn more about how you can continue to help us make a difference.

5 Years in the Game — and the game will never be the same.
Last night, we celebrated National First-Gen Day and our 5th Anniversary surrounded by students, partners, and community.
Five years of building leaders.
Five years of furnishing dorms.
Five years of creating community for first-generation college students.
And we’re just getting started.
Create + Collaborate is a non profit who empowers first generation college students to lead and graduate. We do that through furnishing dorms for free, mentorship, and leadership development.
Some people are part of the story from the very beginning. Jordan is one of those people for Create + Collaborate. 💙
I’ve known Jordan since high school, and throughout every season, he has continued to show up for Create + Co and for me personally with consistency, loyalty, and heart. He has been a foundational part of this work and the kind of person every organization hopes to have in their corner.
Jordan is truly a gift to the world. He brings joy, light, and encouragement to every room and every person he comes in contact with. His presence makes people feel seen, valued, and supported.
Today, we celebrate all of his hard work and this incredible accomplishment. Congratulations, Jordan, on your graduation from University of Mary Hardin-Baylor! We are so proud of you and excited for all that’s ahead. The world is better because of who you are.
So proud of you Jordan! -Ms. Ricq

This one means a lot. 🥹
My first magazine feature. 2026 Woman of Impact Award.
I don’t think it has fully hit me yet, but I am truly honored to be nominated and selected for this recognition. More than anything, this moment feels like a reminder to my younger self: you really can become anything you set your mind to.
Impact has always meant more to me than a title, an award, or a moment of recognition. To me, impact means changed lives, doors being opened, and a better future for those up next.
Impact doesn’t come without cost and sacrifice. Most people give up when it starts to cost something: your time, your finances, family. But I got very familiar with the journey of impact and what it took to get here. The prayers, the late nights, the hard decisions, the tears, the moments I questioned if I had what it takes, and the quiet work that often happens when no one is watching.
But all of that led to the now.
There are so many things I am doing now that I once never thought were possible. And God keeps reminding me that anything is possible.
This recognition is deeply personal and so much bigger than me. It represents every student who chose to bet on themselves, every volunteer who chose to serve, every donor who chose to give, and every partner who believed in the vision.
I’ve truly become my wildest dreams.
Thank you for seeing the impact. Thank you for honoring the work. And thank you to everyone who continues to believe in what we are building.
Leadership is our legacy. 🩵

We get asked all the time what our students do after they graduate college…
This weekend, we got a front row seat watching Nick (one of our alumni) working March Madness.
I’ve watched him push through school as a sports journalism major, and to now see him on that court, living out what he once worked so hard for… that’s what this is all about.
This is the work.
This is the why.
So proud of you Nick!
