The walls are gone, the steel is set, old electrics are out and new cables going in, old heating pipes redirected and the floor’s up next for levelling.
This new kitchen dining space is starting to take shape.

We previously designed the graphics for OPO Fifty Two, and today we brought them to life installing them.
Their shop opens this weekend in Shawlands and it’s cost them a LOT of cookies 🍪—so pop in, grab a coffee from their La Marzocco machine ☕ and show them some love!

Work is now well underway on this transformation in Glasgow.

The first stage was disconnecting all appliances and gas, followed by carefully removing the old kitchen.
Then moving on to taking down the walls to open up the space into a larger kitchen dining space.

Next week, the steels will be installed to support the
Roof structure as well as new electrics and plumbing throughout.
We’re looking forward to seeing this project take shape over the coming weeks.

Transformations.
Old to new, the walls were stripped back to the brickwork and re plastered directly back onto the brick. We created layouts for all the beading panels on the walls and then a new oak handrail with brass support brackets, oak stop chamfer spindles to the once closed off staircase as well as larger scale newel posts on the staircase.

A little before and after at Mungo’s Well walking into the kitchen area.
We suggested removing walls here to open the space and have a grand reveal of the new kitchen which meant removing a large chimney breast and rebuilding the roofline where the chimney was.
We think it was worth it.

We followed the team as they re-plumbed, installed a new heating system, plastered whole rooms as welll as electrical works in this home in Glasgow.

Some progress work at our bar design project. Still a way to go but we are near the end.
You can see initial concept sketch drawn on site to show our client to manufacture to on site progress.
You see the bar in an undercoat currently and will be painted when finished.
A quick look at the progress on the bar and a sneak at the master bedroom and dressing and hall now the carpets are down. Can’t wait to see the bar and gantry and seating going in soon.
A few more furniture pieces to bring into place and then
smaller details and propping to finalise.
