The instincts on this guy are suspect. Charli raided the nest and took this guy out to play. And I mean play literally. She had plenty of chance to do more than play but simply picked it up. Trotted to the middle of the grass patch set it down and proceeded to chase it until I realized what she was up to and told her to stop and sit. Then I whipped the camera out and the presumably terrified bugger hopped right over to the nearest small brown creature - who just so happened to be the “marauder” who removed them from their comfy home - and tried to get cozy. All is right. I picked Charli up and shooed it in the direction of its home. So right now the bunny is probably at home telling everyone how they got in a fight with a wicked hell hound and escaped using juijitsu and kung fu.
