Meet The Artist - Michelle KakunguwoMichelle’s practice centres on printmaking and mixed media, exploring the quiet details found in both natural forms and everyday life. Working with processes such as linoprint, cyanotype, monoprint, and collage, she builds layered surfaces using recycled papers, fabrics, and found materials, allowing their textures and imperfections to inform each composition.For this exhibition, Michelle extends this approach into sculpture to explore the idea of “Background Noise”, including routines, internal thoughts, and overlooked objects that shape daily experience. Meet The Artist - Lucy KingLucy is a photographer that mainly explores wildlife and street photography. Her practice focuses on capturing macro shots, patterns and textures, to highlight the overlooked details of things.Through this project Lucy aims to use family archives to explore the mundanity of everyday life that people often miss. By Combining collaging with Photography, her goal is to highlight the background details of old family photos, that for many people, bring back nostalgia and memories.
