On this date 105 years ago, Disney Legend Harrison "Buzz" Price was born. Price, a research economist for the Stanford Research Institute, helped determine the economic feasibility and perfect location of Disneyland—early 1950s Anaheim, as seen in this aerial photograph.

For this #MainStreetMay, we're celebrating a land on the move! 🚂 🚗🐴 Main Street, U.S.A., features many modes of turn-of-the-century transportation, including horse-drawn streetcars, vintage automobiles, and the iconic "Disneyland Railroad".
We are proud to be part of Blue Star Museums, a national appreciation program that extends free admission to active-duty military personnel, including National Guard and Reserve, and up to five of their family members. The 2026 program begins on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 16, 2026 and ends on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026.
While general admission to the museum is free year-round for active, retired, and veteran military personnel, our participation in the annual Blue Star Museums program is our way of saying “thank you” to the families of those currently serving in the US military.

On this date in 1904, Spanish Surrealist artist Salvador Dalí was born. Walt and Dalí had a decades-long friendship, chronicled in our 2015 special exhibition, Disney and Dalí: Architects of the Imagination.
