What does it mean to leave a legacy? For Giao and Minh-Thu, it means building on a family tradition of service and inspiring others to do the same. This Leave a Legacy Month, we celebrate Giao and Minh-Thu's planned gift to Women's College Hospital Foundation, made in honour of Giao’s father who was a physician in Vietnam, and inspired by the care they've received from Dr. Carol Kitai at WCH. Their hope is simple: that their gift will help WCH support more compassionate physicians like Dr. Kitai, so that every patient who walks through these doors gets the care they truly deserve. 🔗 Learn more about leaving a legacy with WCHF at the link in bio.

This Mental Health Month, we're proud to shine a light on the extraordinary work happening at Women's College Hospital, home to one of Canada's largest research and clinical programs focused on women's unique mental health needs. Every year, WCH supports approximately 40,000 patient visits across a range of specialty programs. This work is only possible because of donors who believe everyone deserves timely, compassionate and expert mental healthcare. 🔗 Learn more and sign up for the Shoppers Drug Mart® Run for Women at the link in bio.

Happy National Nursing Week to the incredible nurses of #TeamWCH 💜 Every day, our nurses help remove barriers to care, support patients through every step of their healthcare journey and help reimagine the health system through compassion, innovation and leadership. This Nursing Week, we asked our nurses to “shake hands” with the people who inspire them most across WCH – and the result is a reminder of the collaboration, respect and connection that define our teams. Thank you for everything you do to help build a more equitable and accessible health system for all. 🩺✨ #NursingWeek #NursesWeek2026 #HealthcareRevolutionized #HealthEquity #WCHospital

🔎 What if finding breast cancer earlier was already within reach? A new study published in The Lancet found that AI-supported screenings are better at detecting early-stage breast cancer than human-only screenings. And at Women's College Hospital, this technology is already at work. Dr. Vivianne Freitas, radiologist at WCH, has been using AI to scan mammograms to act as a second set of eyes. Human expertise will always come first, but we’re excited about the possibilities of enhancing care and saving more lives using innovative technologies. 🔗 See more at the link in bio.
