WCCCD's School of Continuing Education in partnership with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary present Boat America: Boating Certificate Seminar on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the WCCCD Ted Scott Campus in Belleville. Boat America is an in-depth and engaging boating certificate class that provides the knowledge needed to obtain a boating certificate. Some insurance companies will also offer discounts on boating insurance to boaters who successfully complete this course. The certificate class is open to the public at no cost. The class is open for those ages 13 years and up. If under 18 years old, a guardian must be present. Registration is required with limited availability. WCCCD's School of Continuing Education presents Bridge to Asia on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the WCCCD Downriver Campus. This program reflects the diversity in Asian cultures through artwork, dance exhibits and music, with performances by: • Nritya Sudha's Hindu Temple Rhythms • Michigan New Century Chinese School • Ziyad Nasr and Group (Middle Eastern music) There will also be a demonstration and tea ceremony by the Japanese Society of Detroit Women's Club.
