We are excited to welcome international choreographers Marion and Alan to Brussels for our students but we have added an exclusive 2-day Partnering Intensive for advanced level dancers!
Over the course of 2 days (4h/day), participants
will dive into a highly physical and immersive training experience filled with partnering exercises, games, lifting material and choreographic exploration.
Rooted in organic partnering and action/reaction principles, their work combines influences from martial arts, contact improvisation, acrobatic partnering and social dances. Through weight sharing, trust, physical listening and dynamic movement research, dancers are invited to explore how two bodies can function and move as one.

Online Audition Protocol:
Candidates submit two videos and 1 written motivation letter. ✨
The first video presents the candidate’s own movement material, such as an improvisation or short choreographic composition.
The second video demonstrates the ability to perform existing choreography created by a teacher or choreographer, or presented on stage.
The motivation letter describes previous dance experience, personal interests and future ambitions and explains the motivation to pursue profeessional dance training at WAYS.
WAYS welcomes dancers of all body types, ethnicities, genders and sexual orientations and maintains a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment.

At WAYS, the end of the year performance is not only about rehearsing and being on stage. We also take time for professional photo and video calls, allowing dancers to understand how movement translates through the lens and onto the screen.
Because being a performer today also means learning how to communicate your artistry visually and professionally. 🎥📸
AXIS MUNDI
The 2026 End of the Year Performance by the dancers of WAYS & RISE Training Program on 10th & 11th of June in Zinnema, Anderlecht ✨
Axis Mundi is an ancient idea found in many cultures and belief systems. It describes a vertical axe that connects different layers of existence: the underworld, the earth, the sky and the cosmos. This line symbolizes the balance between the visible and invisible worlds. In ancient Greece, it was represented by Mount Olympus — the home of the gods. In Norse mythology, it appeared as Yggdrasil, the world tree connecting different realms. In many Asian traditions, mountains, trees, or temples were seen as sacred centers where heaven and earth met. The symbol was not only spiritual — it also represented orientation and the human search for meaning and connection.
The WAYS & RISE students will step into 8 different creations during the next 2 months, by 8 choreographers from the current professional field — each with a strong artistic identity and extensive experience.

👑 We will have the honor of welcoming the professional dance programs Ways and Rise during our deliberations. They will therefore not be participating in the competition, but will come to present their new play, “Trapped in a Loop,” with Freya Pauwels and Denis Inghelbrecht as creators.
Diving deep into authentic emotional expression—tools rooted in drama training that expand the performative depth of contemporary dancers. These acting sessions will unlock a more honest and embodied presence on stage!
