Grateful to my ohana and especially my grandparents for setting me on this path since birth. The last 9 years and 99 games have been notably more fanatical than ever, and I’ll most remember the many friends that have become family to me. Having a UH football head coach shouting me out still gives me chicken skin. Mahalo💚

In 2012, after five years of teaching high school math, performing small tv commercial and modeling gigs, working part-time as an DII collegiate athletics administrator - a life that wasn’t bad at all, I mean, I surfed and played basketball & beach volleyball every single day - I knew I needed to break free.
Soon after I turned 30, and now having just eclipsed the 4-0 mark, I’m truly in a place I’d rather be: traveling the world, watching a lot of games, running @hisportsfans and working in Hollywood. Still a long ways to go to where I wanna be, but I have to remind myself to live in the present and enjoy every single moment that I’ve worked for.

Funny because usually on NYE I’m reflecting on the year that’s passed and focused on improving myself as I strive to live authentically, enthusiastically seeking out what makes me happy in Life and pursuing it.
And while that’s all still true, everything now flows back to my firstborn, the one that made me a Dad..::And while I’m still processing it all even as he turns 7 months today, all I can only think about it how much he’s gonna change and force me to change along with him in the coming year.
While I’d love to do another year in review video, he’s sucked most of the energy out of me. But I think these snapshots will do.
