This is my last post from the biotech project with @madebyfern Studio, and I wanted to share some of my favorite styleframes separately. It’s been 12 years since I started working as a motion artist. I’ve come to deeply appreciate projects that allow me to express my artistic voice, especially when collaborating with thoughtful and respectful artists. Finally, I’d love to share one of my favorite projects with @madebyfern 🤍 A biotech leader🧑‍🔬 asked Fern studio to visualize their complex proteomics platform—blending data, AI, and scientific discovery. Our goal was to make it both understandable and engaging, showing how science and storytelling can come together.✨ Rather than depicting literal interfaces or lab environments, we built a world of abstract systems and rich textures—translating deep science into a visual language. 🧬 I was very fortunate to work on design, and above are the frames I worked on🥰 @madebyfern Fern Studio와 함께한 제가 정말 애정하는 프로젝트를 공유합니다.❤️ 한 바이오테크 선도 기업은🔬 데이터, AI, 그리고 과학적 발견이 결합된 복잡한 프로테오믹스 플랫폼을 시각화해 달라고 요청했습니다. 우리의 목표는 이를 쉽고 흥미롭게 전달하며, 과학과 스토리텔링이 어떻게 어우러질 수 있는지를 보여주는 것이었습니다. 직관적인 인터페이스나 실험실 장면을 그대로 보여주기보다는, 추상적인 시스템과 풍부한 텍스처로 이루어진 세계를 구축해, 깊이 있는 과학을 하나의 시각적 언어로 풀어냈습니다.🧪 저는 디자인 작업에 참여할 수 있어 매우 뜻깊었으며, 위 스타일프레임들은 제가 작업한 프레임들입니다.💖

Earthmover🌎 is a leading startup with a pioneering data platform purpose-built for multi-dimensional data, particularly for earth science and climate applications. I had the great opportunity to work on its brand illustrations in collaboration with Made Studios🥰, who partnered with Earthmover. To bring these illustrations to life—especially around the concept of multi-dimensional data—we went through an extensive process of sketches✏️, ping-pong🏓 discussions, and thumbnails🗒️, like the ones shown above. Earthmover🌏는 지구과학과 기후 맥락에서 사용되는 다차원 데이터를 위해 설계된, 혁신적인 데이터 플랫폼을 구축한 선도적인 스타트업입니다. 저는 Earthmover와 협업한 Made Studios✨와 함께 브랜드 일러스트레이션 작업에 참여하게 되어 매우 뜻깊은 경험이었습니다. 다차원 데이터라는 개념을 시각적으로 구현하기 위해, 수많은 스케치✍️와 핑퐁처럼 오가는 논의🏓, 그리고 다양한 썸네일 🔎과정을 거쳤으며, 위와 같은 흐름 속에서 작업이 발전해 나갔습니다.

HashiCorp(@hashicorp ), an IBM company, empowers organizations to automate and secure multi-cloud and hybrid environments through The Infrastructure Cloud™. I had the opportunity to collaborate with the incredible team at Made Studios on Hashicorp brand illustrations for the rebranding and renewed homepage. Our core concept presents HashiCorp as the architecture of the digital world revealed through light. Within the visual language, ‘Cubes▫️’ symbolize the cloud, ‘Frosted glass✨‘ represents security, and ’Line beams➰’ express the flow of data. We aimed to create an ethereal, architectural, and immersive atmosphere, driven by a purplish palette drawn from the brand colors, conveying both depth and technological elegance. All illustrations were created entirely in Adobe Illustrator. P.S. The third frame was not selected for final use, but I’m including it here as a personal favorite. IBM 계열사인 HashiCorp (@hashicorp )는 The Infrastructure Cloud™를 통해 멀티 클라우드 및 하이브리드 환경을 자동화하고 보안하는 솔루션을 제공하는 기업입니다. 저는 Made Studios과 협업하여 HashiCorp 리브랜딩과 기업 홈페이지 리뉴얼을 위한 브랜드 일러스트레이션을 제작하였습니다. 이번 작업의 핵심 컨셉은 ‘빛을 통해 드러나는 디지털 세상의 Architecture’입니다. 큐브가 클라우드를 상징하고, 프로스티드 유리는 보안을, 그리고 라인 빔은 데이터 흐름을 의미합니다. 브랜드 컬러에서 가져온 퍼플 계열 팔레트를 중심으로, 깊이감과 기술적인 우아함을 전달할 수 있도록 몽환적이면서도 건축적인 몰입감 있는 분위기를 만드는 것을 목표로 했습니다. 모든 일러스트레이션은 100% Adobe Illustrator로 제작되었습니다. P.S 세 번째 프레임은 최종 결과물로 채택되지는 않았지만, 개인적으로 좋아하는 작업이라 함께 소개합니다.

Although I primarily work on 2D motion projects, including geometric graphics and illustrations, I occasionally contribute to the concept development process for 3D projects. Storyboards, color scripts, and concept art frames.. You know, the foundational work that comes before 3D rendering. It’s always a joy to see ideas from boards and frames come to life in 3D. The first color script is for the [Samsung SBL Manifesto], directed by @lubing_ and the second one is the [Mastercard Branding Film], created by the team at @taylorjamesltd . 모션아티스트로서 2D 그래픽과 일러스트 작업에 주로 참여하지만 때로 3D프로젝트 컨셉 프로세스에도 종종 참여합니다. 기획 및 스토리보드, 컬러스크립트, 또 컨셉아트프레임과 같이 3D제작 이전 기초공사 단계들입니다. 이런 보드나 프레임들이 3D로 실현되는 것을 보면 언제나 기쁩니다 :) 첫번째작업은 @lubing_ 님께서 디렉팅하셨던 삼성SBL 프로젝트 컬러스크립트들이고, 두번째 프로젝트는 @taylorjamesltd 팀과 함께한 마스터카드 브랜딩필름 기획입니다.
