Wow where do i start! This past Friday, was definitely one of the most memorable moments of my life! I got to open up for one of my idols in comedy. Donnell Rawlings. If you know me Chappelle’s show is my favorite show to date! That show is what got me on my journey. Donnell aka “Ashy Larry” was one of my favorite characters on the show. I would never forget when i was a freshman 2005, going into a school i didn’t even remember applying for, in a area i heard is dangerous, had no idea what i was getting myself into, all i know is i wanted to pursue theater. Donnell came to my school and started telling jokes. Talk about funny aww man he was already funny on the show but even funnier in person. Since that day i knew i was on the right path, but who knew in 2024 i would be opening up to someone i looked up to! It’s crazy i just happened to get on his live 2 weeks ago, shot him an inbox joking around saying (he isn’t going to see this) “let me open up for you 👀” and for him to reply i got 10mins for you! Listen this was Tuesday the show was Friday. Never have i ever done a theater with over 500 people or two shows in the same night. God is real dreams are real people. Lately I’ve been feeling unmotivated. I’ve been longing for a new accomplishment to get me back motivated, i feel like i haven’t been doing anything! Then this opportunity came. I can keep typing forever. Thank you guys for the support, and to my manager @damon_laughs thank you for being on this journey with me only way is up!
