Hey everyone! I’ve been working on lining up interviews lately and getting ready to take my ARRT for MRI since I’m almost done with school. But in the middle of all that, I had to show this little guy off.
This is the Centaurus Chromatic Operative.
I was lucky enough to commission the insanely talented @hoodie_studios for this piece, and it’s honestly one of my all-time favorites in my collection. I tried to do it justice with the photos, but sometimes pictures just don’t capture it the way it deserves.
Hoodie is an incredible artist, and I’m really grateful I was able to add a couple of his beautiful figures to my collection. This one sits right next to the Centaurus Conflict Scout in the display case, and together they look unreal.

“What was your inspiration for the fig?” “My inspiration for this figure was watching people paint galaxy art on YouTube. I wanted to make a full figure heavily inspired by that while also making a base doing the same.”
“What special technique did you use for this fig?” “I used a lot of dry brushing with like 10+ different shades of purple. It was definitely a trust the process moment because I kept doubting myself, but eventually, things started piecing themselves together. The stars are the parts I was most worried about since I sort of just splattered them on by using a wet brush, so I really had no control over the placement of the stars. The same thing with the base except I added a layer of resin so the paint couldn’t be chipped.”
“What was your favorite part of the fig?” “My favorite part of the figure was definitely the helmet and the glowing visor. Typically, the glowing visors I make are one color, but this one was a mix of yellow, orange, and magenta. It was honestly a long process to get it right, but I’m satisfied with the results.”

Hi everybody! I apologize for the delay since both jobs have been keeping me busy and also recent commissions have also been keeping me busy as well. But! nonetheless, id like to show one figure commissioned by the legendary @acezzworkshop . The idea is going along with my idea for a legion called the 111th Defense Legion that takes charge of protecting outer rim planets and maintaining peace. This is one Commando named "Riptide" He's a specialist in stealth and likes to lead with his custom knife. This Phase 1 ARC trooper has a matte black and gold finish. This was commissioned by the amazing @bbs_bricks . The legion idea is the 111th Defense Legion. “What was your inspiration for the fig?”
Kyu- “I was really inspired by some Warhammer 40k models I saw in which they used the hazard pattern. But I also wanted to make a forest scenery, so I decided to go with an olive-green color scheme as well.”
“What would’ve been his purpose?”
Kyu- “His purpose would be to give himself an advantage over his targets with his personalized AT-RT that was also equipped with a minigun blaster at the front for maximum firepower.”
“What armor kits and pieces did you use to make this fig?”
Kyu- “I used pieces from all over, primarily pieces from Nate’s Minifigs. The AT-RT is made from Lego bricks. The model itself I had to figure out on my own on Stud.io , using the model from @thetrendingbrick as a reference.” (here's the link for those that are interested.)/v3/studio/download.page
“What was your favorite part of the fig?”
Kyu- “My favorite part of this whole thing is definitely the AT-RT. I want to make more of them in the future with all types of color schemes.”

Eli- “The inspiration for the figure was the Grovetender from risk of rain 2! Although they don’t look similar - I tried my best to readapt the idea of someone that protected a sacred area no matter what!”

Eli- “The armor pieces I used a bunch of @brickwarriors custom accessories, with a retired CBB helmet, and @natesminifigs pieces for the wrists and chest.”
“What was your favorite part of the fig?”
Eli- “My favorite thing about the figure is really the whole thing, I still can’t really believe that I managed to pull off the look of the mossy samurai Mando and still somehow get it to look good.”

Welcome back, everyone! I know it has been a while and I do apologize. Between work and school starting back up my time is somewhat tied up. But! I’m pleased to bring back a fantastic interview with the talented @kyuthatsme I won this fig from an auction a while back and it's quite an addition to the collection. Me- “What was your inspiration for the fig?”
Kyu- “My inspiration for this figure was the inhabitants of the club on the snow planet of Vandor (shown in Solo when Han and the gang first meets Lando Calrissian and L3). Many of them had shades of brown and such, which looked quite simple, but it also fit the universe as well. Not everyone had to have the fanciest armor and gear. But my figure was somewhat of a combination, but I also wanted to give it a very worn feel as well, because I feel like adding the weathering and such on armor shows the types of danger they face on the daily.”
Me- “What would’ve been his purpose?”
Kyu- “The character’s purpose, or his story if you will, would be that he was once a pirate who eventually left the pirate life to work as an assassin/hired gun for the ruthless Pyke Syndicate. Due to the Pyke’s primarily operating in the Outer Rim, Tundra’s targets were runaways often hiding in the mid to core rims. On one mission, he hunted down a former fellow syndicate assassin that happened to be a Mandalorian, who had owed the Pyke’s credits. Tundra was skilled enough to eliminate the target after a rough chase, however he lost his right forearm in the process. After taking the Mandalorian’s helmet as a trophy and modifying it to his own liking, Tundra got a cybernetic right arm to pack a heavier punch in close-combat.”
Me- “What state and country are you based from?”
Kyu- “I am currently based in the state of Oregon in the United States of America.”

Me- “What was your inspiration for the fig?”
Britt- “My inspiration was the Geonosis camo as seen in the Second Battle of Geonosis. I was also inspired by many fanarts depicting the troopers in a more "modern warfare" approach.”
Me- “What armor kits and pieces did you use to make this fig?”
Britt- “At the same time, the gear was still believable for the world of Star Wars. It was my first time using this helmet from @shdwlego and I enjoyed painting it. The torso is from @petes_armory_ as well as the shoulders. The legs are made from an imperial set designed a while back by @custombrickbuilder . I thought they gave him more of an all-terrain look. “
Me- “What would’ve been his purpose?”
Britt- “He would be a more of a behind-the-scenes operator and scout, making recommendations, updates, and calls to command. “
Me- “What was your favorite part of the fig?”
Britt- “My favorite part of the figure is the camo pattern, I went for geometric shapes instead of organic, and I thought it was a nice change. “
