The Operations Coordinator provides operational and administrative support to staff, leadership, and the Board of Directors. The role requires a highly organized person who can manage a range of tasks at once, from financial record-keeping to board governance and events coordination. The Operations Coordinator maintains organizational financial records — data entry, invoicing, reconciliation, expense tracking, and basic reports, and supports fiscal sponsorship coordination, including agreements, payments, and record-keeping. This work will be central to Wave Pool's growing fiscal sponsorship activity. Additional responsibilities include communications coordination, mailing list maintenance, day-to-day office functions and correspondence, records in nonprofit management software, grant and donor tracking, and other administrative projects as assigned.
The Operations Coordinator supports senior staff and the Board of Directors by scheduling and coordinating meetings, compiling and distributing board dockets and meeting materials in advance, recording and distributing minutes, and serving as a point of contact between board members and staff.
The position is structured as part-time at start, with the intention of growing to full-time over the course of 2027 as organizational resources allow. It reports to the Executive and Artistic Director.

Welcome Edition #10 — Ceramic Tiles by Shahzia Sikander
Produced alongside Shahzia Sikander’s Cincinnati mural Commons (2025), this edition of 25 hand-built ceramic bas-relief tiles translates the scale of public art into intimate, hand-held forms.
Each tile features recurring female figures central to Sikander’s practice, exploring themes of tradition, transformation, and monumentality. Individually glazed and signed by the artist, every piece is unique.
Artisans / Collaborators: Produced in collaboration with Cincinnati ceramic fabricators and artisans.

Welcome Edition #9 — Tulips by Sheida Soleimani
This edition of 100 cast aluminum tulips honors the first 100 protestors killed in Iran following the death of Mahsa Amini in 2022.
In Iranian culture, red tulips symbolize martyrdom. Each sculpture was hand-crafted with refugee artisans and inscribed with the name of a protestor in both Farsi and English, transforming remembrance into an act of solidarity and collective memory.

Welcome Edition #7 — Prayer Rugs by Baseera Khan
This edition of 13 hand-woven and embroidered prayer rugs was created in collaboration with Bhutanese refugee artisans in Cincinnati, combining traditional weaving techniques with themes of spirituality, identity, labor, and care.
Through shared making and cultural exchange, the works reflect Baseera Khan’s ongoing exploration of material, lived experience, and community.

Vanessa German’s work explores healing, connection, and shared humanity, using the color blue as a symbol of water, creativity, and togetherness.

Welcome Edition #3 — Gun Flutes by Pedro Reyes
Created in response to the 2018 Parkland school shooting, Gun Flutes transforms dismantled gun barrels into playable musical instruments , reimagining objects of violence as tools for sound, reflection, and collective healing.
This limited edition of 17 flutes debuted at the March for Our Lives event in 2018. Designed by Pedro Reyes, crafted by Cincinnati flute maker Dave Copley, and paired with hand-embroidered carrying bags made by refugee and immigrant women artisans.
