Skateboarding lives somewhere deep inside me, it’s not something I picked up, it’s something that grew with me. There’s a kind of spiritual connection I feel every time I step on my board, like it grounds me and frees me at the same time. It’s in the feeling of pushing, the silence between movements, the way everything else fades out and it’s just me and that feeling. I don’t skate for attention or validation, I skate because it feeds something real in me. That’s why I don’t see it as a sport. A sport has rules, structure, and expectations, but skating, to me, it’s expression, freedom, and identity. The moment you try to box it in and label it like a sport, it starts to lose its soul. What makes skating special is that it can’t be controlled like that. it’s raw, personal, and alive, and that’s exactly why I love it.
