@wasted_space_____ & I had lots of fun + I think we did a GOOD JOB of maintaining the d-floor into the wee hours, whilst the dry ice FLOODED the zone 🧊 Loved the necessary congas people needed to create to find their way through the smoke 😂

Good news. @graciliciousss and me are shutting down room 2 at the @corsica.studios after @alex__kassian on Friday 3.30 am until 5.30 for @_small.talk__
Bad news. Corsica is shutting down. It’s probably the club I’ve gone to consistently in my 14 years in London and I didn’t think I’d get to play there before it shut. I was curious and did a quick look to see just how much elephant and castle has changed in that time. Google street view goes back to 2012 - you can see the old Heygate Estate and just how much development has encroached on the club now. Nothing lasts forever. Nightclubs have always inhabited the spaces in between that no one wants until they become valuable. Here’s to Corsica and to almost 25 years of making elephant and castle more valuable.

First Noods show of the year - 3-4 pm - I’ve got an hour of Scottish new wave and post punk I recorded about 4 years ago for another station and I thought it deserved another run on Noods given we are so close to burns night.
Hogmanay is upon us all. Me and @graciliciousss seeing in the new year in edinburghs @westportoracle tonight - 10 until 3am. Final push. Happy new year to all when it comes.
Need to get better at posting about things I’ve done and I’m proud of so here’s a recent one.
A few weeks ago I spoke to about 100 students at the @capitalcitycollege in Kings Cross about architecture, the route into the profession, what makes for meaningful spaces, the tools we use and where it’s going in the future (ai).
It was a thrill and I’m sure I bored many of them to death but a few of them came up after asking about next steps and work experience which we will give them. It felt to good to contribute and if you can, try and find ways to mentor or give back whatever field you’re in.
It was also quite sad to see how many of them were anxious about ai and the future of work. one person saying their dad had told them not to bother with architecture and another was worried because trump had recently pronounced it no longer a profession in USA.
My view is that architecture is one of the few creative fields that should be safe (for now). We put physical things in physical places, AI can’t do that. The tools will change but ideas still need a steward. We will press the buttons. Atm it only does images of what it thinks architecture is, seductive skin deep and meaningless slop.
