A Note On Authenticity
Dear all,
With an open heart I would like to share that this is the end for WASIS as a brand and from now on I will continue my creative practice under my own name as I step into my authentic artist-self. It will be messy, it will be crazy, but I hope it will be real and true to my values and artistic expression.
I started my jewellery making journey about 10 years ago at the end of 2014 without knowing where it would take me and started WASIS in 2019 as a way of putting my work out there while at the same time allowing myself to hide behind the brand. To be honest, I was scared and I did not have the courage to be vulnerable with my work when everything is so personal.
By hiding behind a brand, I was playing safe - it’s me but it’s not fully me, as I was trying to figure out what’s working and what’s not. It’s been one hella exciting journey though, thanks to all the support and opportunities from so many of you!
I will maintain this account as an archive of what was to build on the work that is and will continue sharing updates of my work at
@kinakinahassan . The website is a work in progress but do give me a follow here if you would like to continue supporting my work or see what glorious mess I’m getting myself into as we’re starting this new chapter!
