Katy, Gus, Claire, Ava, Kaylyn, and Aubrey,
There is something sacred about a year spent in service. About choosing, day after day, to carry something bigger than yourself.
To say yes to continuous early mornings and the latest of nights. To full suitcases, fuller calendars, and the kind of exhaustion that comes not from obligation, but from pouring yourself out on behalf of a future you believe in.
This year, you became more than representatives of Washington FFA. You became steady voices in uncertain rooms. A familiar presence to nervous members. A source of belief for students still figuring out who they are and who they might become.
You stood on stages beneath bright lights, but some of your most meaningful work happened far from applause. In chapter visits. In long car rides. In the moments no one else will fully know, where leadership looked less like being seen and more like seeing others.
But somewhere between the miles traveled and memories made, you stopped being just “the 2025-2026 state officer team.” You became part of the story of Washington FFA. A chapter in the lives of thousands of members who will remember your words long after this week is over.
While this particular season comes to a close for the six of you, the impact of a year lived this intentionally does not end here.
Somewhere in this state, a student will raise their hand because one of you told them they could. Someone will run for chapter office because they saw what leadership looked like in you. Someone will choose courage because you modeled it first.
THAT is legacy.
Thank you for helping to cultivate ours with humility, heart, and extraordinary grace. Thank you for giving Washington FFA your year.
