Happy Birthday to our brother, Gabriel Jay Lewis. Not only does he carry on our dad’s name, but he carries the same anointing in his hands. You can feel it in every piece of wood he touches, every instrument he helps bring to life, and every moment spent in the shop. Gabe lives for the creative process — the sawdust, the shaping, the dreaming, the building. He keeps the Jesus tunes bumpin’, the atmosphere warm, and the love flowing. The kind of guy you become quick friends with because his heart is as genuine as they come. A creator through and through, and a huge piece of what makes Warrior what it is. We love you, Gabe. 🤍

When you’re digging through the wood stock inventory in the shop and stumble upon some of the most beautiful 1/4 sawn flame maple you’ve ever seen… “and guess what… there’s TWO OF EM.” 👀🪵😂 Reserve your dream wood now for your next custom build. ✨ DM us to connect with one of the brothers and dream a little. The perfect piece might already be waiting for you in the shop.

Who wants to see Scott take a pin router to this block of mahogany and carve out an f-hole for what will soon become a custom Dran Michael semi-hollow? If you love sawdust and craftsmanship, boy do we have a reel for you. 👀🪵 Stay tuned. #handmadeinstruments #warriorinstruments #woodshop #guitar #electricguitar

The shop lights are back on. ⚒️ 🛡️ With grateful hearts, we are easing back into the work, honoring everything J. Dran built, one piece at a time. Thank you for all of the love, the patience and the prayers.

My heart is heavy as I just found out that my dear old friend and master luthier Mr. JD Lewis of Warrior Instruments has passed away. 🥲 . My deepest heartfelt condolences to his lovely family and to the entire Warrior Family. His spirit will live forever in every instrument he made. . I am grateful to have known him. I am honored to have called him my friend. He taught me so many things. Most importantly he taught me how to use my gifts and talents to help people and serve Jesus. . We laughed like children when we were together. I can hear him laughing as I write this knowing he is rejoicing in heaven. . I will never forget the first time we met in Nashville at a NAMM Show. He was wearing a purple suit in a way only he could, his eyes were glistening as he listened to me play. He shed a tear and laid his hands on me and told me he felt the presence of God with every note I played. I was never the same man again. He made me a better human. . JD, please feel my heart in the notes I share with you and your family tonight. I will always be grateful for you and your hand built masterpieces will carry sooooo much more anointing in rememberance of you 🙏🏼❤️ . To my Instagram family, I wish you could have known this sweet soul. Visit his page @warriorinstruments and see some his incredible work. . As far as guitars I used my 26 year old signature @warriorinstruments prototype on this tribute. It was the first version of the guitar we made together. It is my FAVORITE and most precious piece in my collection. . I pray you all have an amazing night and As always, Be blessed in all that you do. . It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dad, J. Dran Lewis—the artist, designer, and founder of Warrior Instruments. He was anointed and appointed by God, and he built this company from the ground up with his own hands, vision, and faith. We always knew how special he was… but we didn’t fully realize the depth of his impact until now. The outpouring of messages, memories, and stories has been such a gift to our family during this time. His legacy will live on through all of you—his Warrior family. Through the instruments he built that continue to play on stages around the world… and through the ones that will still be created for those who join the family in the years to come. More than anything, his legacy lives in the music, the craftsmanship, and the lives he touched. Thank you for the love, prayers, and support you’ve shown our family. It means more than we can put into words. We’re taking things day by day, with hope for the future, and deep gratitude for the community he built. — The Lewis Family

Last call at NAMM. 🖤🎸 If you’ve been saying “we’ll swing by later” — this is later. Final day, final hangs, final chance to get hands on the Warrior 2026 collection and talk shop with the crew who built it. Come find us, make some noise, and let’s end NAMM the right way. ⚔️ Booth 4634
