Formed in Dresden over fifteen years ago, RISK IT! built their identity the hard way. No shortcuts, no major backing, no industry favors. Just relentless touring, high-energy performances, and a sound rooted in the traditions that made hardcore matter in the first place. Influenced by the sounds of Madball, Terror, Bitter End, No Warning, and Backtrack and creating something that felt both familiar and entirely their own. Fast, aggressive, grooved-out, with anthemic choruses that stick long after the set is over. From their earliest releases through “Who’s Fooling Who?” in 2013 and “Cross to Bear” in 2016, RISK IT! refined their sound without ever losing the rawness that made people pay attention in the first place. Lyrically, the band has always stayed true to the core values of the culture: personal integrity, loyalty, perseverance, and the kind of honesty that does not require an apology.

We are excited to welcome New Bedford, MA’s SEARCH WARRANT to the WAR Records roster.

Formed in early 2023, Search Warrant spent their first year doing what most hardcore bands do, figuring out who they are and who belongs in the room. By 2024, the lineup locked in with Brendan on vocals, Kyle and Adam on guitar, Josh on bass, and Nik on drums.
In early 2025, the band dropped their debut 7”, Unlawful Demonstration, released through To Live A Lie Records and Blind Rage Records. It was a statement - Raw, direct, and deeply rooted in the sounds of early 2000s Boston hardcore. The A-Team, Stop and Think, Mental, the Rival Mob, and Lockin’ Out Records.
Search Warrant plays hardcore the way it was meant to be played. No breakdowns. No filler. No apologies. Just hard, fast, and honest music from a band that clearly grew up on the right records. The band will release a 4 song LP Promo via WAR Records this Spring. Four tracks recorded, mixed and mastered by Trevor Vaughan (Wound Man, Rival Mob, Clear) that make the case for everything the full record promises to deliver. The promo also includes a cover of The A-Team’s “Fall On Your Sword,” a nod to one of the most important bands in their DNA and a clear signal of where Search Warrant’s roots run deepest.

We are excited to welcome Denver’s EYES OF SALT to the WAR Records roster.
Eyes of Salt are a Denver, Colorado hardcore band formed in 2021. Blending melodic tension with metallic weight, the band has quickly carved out a sound rooted in intensity and intent. Recently signed to Los Angeles based WAR Records, Eyes of Salt will release their upcoming full length, Collapse Of The Infinite, in late Spring 2026.
Drawing inspiration from bands like Incendiary, Modern Life is War, Hope Conspiracy, and Comeback Kid, Collapse Of The Infinite is a politically charged statement that confronts the current social climate, class disparity, and the realities of mental health and personal struggle. Rather than leaning on empty aggression, Eyes of Salt prioritize substance, writing songs that aim to provoke thought and evoke a wide emotional response. With a growing reputation and new material on the horizon, the band will appear in Denver with Bane and Rotting Out on January 31 and follow up with a run through California in March.

About Eyes of Salt:
Eyes of Salt formed in Denver, Colorado in 2021 as a project built between longtime friends from the local hardcore circuit. Instead of chasing constant touring cycles, the band has always treated this project as a focused creative outlet—something intentional, grounded, and deeply tied to real-life experience. That mindset carries directly into their music, where nothing feels wasted or overly polished.
Sonically, the band sits in the space between metallic hardcore and more melodic, emotionally driven hardcore, pulling influence from groups like Agnostic Front, Madball, Modern Life Is War, and Incendiary. That blend shows up in how they balance heavy, breakdown-led sections with more atmospheric and reflective passages, creating a push and pull between aggression and vulnerability.
Lyrically, Eyes of Salt focus on grounded, human themes—social injustice, class pressure, mental health, and accountability. There’s a sense that the record isn’t just expressing anger, but trying to process it, giving the album a heavier emotional undertone beneath the breakdowns and intensity.
Since their early demos, the band has steadily built momentum within the Colorado hardcore scene, eventually leading to their signing with WAR Records. Collapse of the Infinite feels like a natural step forward—still raw, still direct, but more focused in structure and intent.

Strife headlined another great matinee in Providence with Fool’s Game, Wreckage, Can’t Lose and Step First. They came east for a weekend of shows that also included shows in Syracuse and Portland. THE Jay Pepito was playing second guitar with them for this run of shows.
I can’t quite recall when or where I first met the guys in Strife. It was probably 30+ years ago through a Middlesex Community College show or Mike Hartsfield back in the early 90’s. As we all get older, it is great to catch up with old friends that you rarely see in person. They have always been a blast to photograph and feel like a cheat code when it comes to getting energetic images.
