Please Read Below and Let Me Explain How This Came To Be:
When I collect and scan various amounts of magazine pages/prints/visuals over time, from NatGeo, to Life, to Playboy, I find myself coming across different photos that I save for potential use. Sometimes what I like to do is take simple, innocent, and harmless photos, with no real message in print, and juxtapose the image in fun and creative ways to work on a possible fun/interesting idea.
One day I found an article in Post magazine, with a headling using the word "DR*GS" in bold letters. I knew to save that for a future idea. And so came the idea of manipulating colors of normal imagery, giving it a very colorful and psychedelic layer, and for the final touch, adding on the word itself, to portay the funny idea that an innocent photo can display their use of dr*gs.
Please keep in mind that aside from mj, I have not ever taken any hallucin*gens or hard dr*gs, nor do I see myself ever doing so, nor is made intentionally as a promotion towards such dr*gs. I just found this idea to be an interesting concept, whether you find it trippy or amusing. I hope you like it!
