Last month’s precipitation ushered in this month’s flora, or so the saying goes. At the time of this post, I still feel like I’m stuck in the downpour, but hoping for more of the May flowers to blossom and bloom.
March sprung on us as quickly as it exited. But not before bringing us more music, more community, more mischief, and more memories made outdoors. And once again, making movies, talking movies, selling movies, and watching them with friends and family was the glue that bonded all of this month’s moments together.
✨ Big News, AIGA Dallas! ✨
We’re excited to officially welcome Alexander Flores as our new VP of Programming 🎉
With over 20 years of creative experience across top Dallas agencies, Alexander brings a powerful mix of creative leadership, strategy, and industry insight to the role. From his early days at TracyLocke to leading national campaigns as a Creative Director on the Pizza Hut account, his career spans big brands, bold ideas, and impactful storytelling.
He’s also made his mark in editorial design as Art Director at the Dallas Observer and later as Group Design Director for American Airlines’ in-flight publications, where he led major redesigns. Today, he continues to push creative forward as an Associate Creative Director at Cinemark, working on brand campaigns, activations, and film partnerships.
A longtime supporter of AIGA, we’re thrilled to welcome Alexander back into leadership—bringing his experience, energy, and passion for building meaningful programming for our community.
Please join us in giving him a warm welcome—we can’t wait to see what’s ahead! 👏
