In the current climate where the powers that be are targeting vulnerable populations, I feel it is more important than ever to be an ally. We cannot remain silent and complacent while MAGA politicians legislate bigotry, churches demonize, and feckless institutions and corporations cave to Trump’s extortion. Our family always flies a Pride flag, but ours has faded with time so I’m putting up a new one today to be ready for Pride Month. The attempts to delegitimize and erase people for who they are and whom they love is cruel. To all my family and friends whom I love (not to mention my pastors, doctors, colleagues, etc.) who happen to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer: I’m with you 100% and stand with you against the forces of hate and oppression. One way to do this is to refuse to let them dampen the celebration. Happy Pride! 🏳️🌈

Patel is an utter disgrace, his hissy-fit appearance before congress yesterday was just the latest, pathetic example. He has no place anywhere near any position of authority in this country.

This past winter, this Stan Kelly cartoon led to a charity sale of “Sinister Minnesotans” T-shirts. All profits were donated by Mr. Kelly and The Onion to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, and I’m happy and humbled to report we raised over $37K!
Additionally, this delightful Bluesky post by a woman who not only dressed as the “Sinister Minnesotans” in the cartoon (complete with the plaid pants) but also created her own “Suspicious Hot Dish” dish. It just goes to show there are a lot of Sickos out there.
