In March 2022, we visited 91-year-old Ambassador Godwin Onyegbula in his home in Enugu, where he reflected on his time serving both the Nigerian and Biafran governments in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Ojukwu and I had a confidence, so I’d make my recommendations and he would take them seriously,” said Onyegbula.
He passed away two years later, on February 24, 2024, in Enugu.
