Dub, a subgenre of reggae, emerged in 1960s Jamaica when engineers began stripping tracks down to their instrumental cores—highlighting deep basslines and rhythm. Today, it’s a global sound, reinterpreted by producers across the world.
Kenya has its own dub movement, with collectives like Nairobi Dub Club holding space for the culture. Recently, legendary sound system artist King Shiloh was in Nairobi, and we’re also featuring Lavosti, who has collaborated with him.

The craziest journey of my new year.
Joined by two amazing humans @joywachira._ and @klangjunky
On day one we were held hostage by Maasai somewhere in Kajiado county towards the boarder into Tanzania one of the craziest moments and thrills of our journey.
We managed to venture into Tanzania shortly after to Lake Challa. That side is much better than this side.
We went to Tsavo west then Tsavo east and ended over at Arabuko spoke forest which was my first time there. What a trip.
The party @beneaththebaobabs was just what the doctors ordered to end and begin our year.

Last year was such an adventure. One of my favorites adventures was working with The German Embassy @germanyinkenya On executing their concept Rangi za Urafiki. It was a concert on the 14th of November celebrating Germany and Kenya friendship. I was curator and general event coordinator of the day. We had @h_arttheband@xpr500@hornsphere perform. Such a beautiful day.

Saturday was a beautiful day spent @lost_stateofmind Elevate Festival. Such a well curated wellness event with some quite inspiring and exciting activities.
After I went to @muringi_matheri and friends and randomly met my sister there so fun! Such a beautiful event.
Sunday attended such a lovely and such well curated event for the kiddos Punguluparty by @pungulupaproductions where I met some amazing humans I love.
After went for dinner with my friend and her dad.
Then to the Cavemen event at the alchemist by @nairobirnb đź’š with the squad wah so dope! Very happy I got to go!
My weekend was only filled with Love.
