Teaching at @spin_circus_festival is always such a privilege. THis year, I got to help out on teeter, Axe throwing, Double Staff and Glass Walking. Teaching has caused me to upskill, reach new highs, give back to the community I love. Helping people reach goals is one of the things that makes me truly happy in this world and the amount of trust given from the participants and the organisers is always humbling... That people are willing to listen to me ramble for an hour always feels ridiculous.

I've wanted to do this workshop for 2 years now. I realised that people in flow arts and people in trade get so much drilling into the importance of fire extinguisher, but even at the highest levels have never operated one. There's so much talk about the dangers and approaches but no direct comparisons in approaches to urgent situations. For me there is zero substitute in hands on training and live experiments. I'm so glad that the creation of this group led me to be able to show this information to others and I'm so happy that every week I think "surely no one cares" yet 30-40 people rock up ready to do silly fire things.
As always thanks to my amazing dad and videographer/photographer/editor @dlikane for his incredible work... That he gives away photo/video service for free is insane. And thanks Darcy for training fire response with me, and keeping me safe through the demo.
