I got in the trade 9 years ago at the age of 21. I didn’t know what a pipefitter was but my momma told me they made good money so I showed up to apply. I still remember the day I told her I got the job, she cried over the phone.
I went to school two nights a week and worked full time for 5 years during my apprenticeship. I even had to go to summer classes because I struggled so much learning how to weld. I remember calling my mom on the way home after welding classes telling her how defeated I felt.
But what’s crazy is, I actually fell in love with it all. The long hours, the hard work, the immense amount of knowledge you could never learn it all. The feeling of accomplishment a job well done brings and the pride that comes with being a craftsman. It really has become a part of who I am.
I’m not saying I hop out of bed every morning ecstatic going to work but… when I walk away from the trade, I believe I’ll miss it. One time for Dirty Hands, Clean Money. #LU150

I can’t tell you how crazy this feels. Honestly this wasn’t a part of my original vision. It didn’t really cross my mind that this was going to happen until it did. And just like that, my life became bigger than my wildest dreams again.
When I was growing up, the only people I associated with trading cards were elite athletes or legends. People who were so special that the rest of the world would put their face on a card and pay crazy money to get them.
And I’m far from a legend… but to think that someone out there believes what I’ve done and who I am is worth throwing on a collectible trading card blows my mind.
Sometimes I want to stop making a big deal out of the small things that are normal to the rest of the UFC roster… but I can only be me and be real. This is another accomplishment in my life I never expected to see and I’m just happy to be here ☝🏽💫♥️ #FKKS #706
