🌱 Happy Compost Awareness Week! 🌎♻️ This week, we’re celebrating Avon businesses leading the way in sustainability through the new commercial compost pilot program! A huge shoutout to Ein Prosit, Southside Benderz, Foods of Vail, Fiesta Jalisco, and House of Vibes for helping divert food waste from the landfill and turning waste into a resource. We also want to recognize Pazzo’s Pizzeria, Agave, and Northside Kitchen for joining the composting effort and making a positive impact in our community. ♻️ Something big is rolling out in our community… We’ve officially kicked off installations that will expand access to recycling where it hasn’t existed before—bringing new curbside bins, shared infrastructure, and community-built solutions across neighborhoods and local businesses. This is just the beginning of a larger effort to make recycling easier, more equitable, and truly community-driven. We got to explore the Colorado National Monument where they investigate with local students, the new Confluence Center of Colorado which hosts a collective of awesome non-profits, and the McConnell Science Museum filled with captivating science exhibits and ambassador animals! 🐟🦎🐍 If you are ever in Grand Junction check out these incredible places! Its always so cool to see how other organizations are interacting with their communities through science 🔬💙

Our Zero Hero Stations are powered by Walking Mountains and our Volunteer Green Team, working side by side to sort every single item on site and make sure it ends up in the right place.
