Earlier this week we were proud to attend another great Club Out Together event to mark LGBTQ+ History month, highlighting the importance of allyship, and being visible in LGBTQ+ inclusion.
Several of our colleagues from our Horizon LGBTQ+ group attended, with a talk around allyship at Walker Morris given by Ben Briscoe and Michael Hall. It was great to hear from some many other firms and businesses across West Yorkshire, on how we can support one another to improve equality for all.
Last night, we had the honour of hosting an Aura Network event, ‘Roots to Routes,’ with @skblaw . The evening celebrated South Asian Heritage Month and specifically South Asian women in law, alongside the allies who support their progress within the legal profession. Thank you to everyone who joined us.

It was the perfect way to round off a brilliant few months of Pride celebrations at Walker Morris, from inspiring guest speakers to a lovely afternoon tea with OutTogether, and plenty of moments celebrating the diversity that makes us who we are.
But for us, Pride isn’t just a month, it’s a mindset and we never stop working towards becoming more inclusive and diverse. As a firm we're committed to building an inclusive, welcoming workplace all year round, and we’re excited to keep pushing forward together.

The events will continue throughout June and July with an afternoon tea with Out Together LGBT+ charity connecting LGBT+ generations in Yorkshire, a vibrant networking lunch with Reagan Persaud, and walking in Leeds Pride on the 21st July

Some of our team have hopped into the kitchen to raise funds for our charity of the year, @limbbofoundation . Supporting meaningful causes is close to our hearts, and throughout the year, we aim to contribute to the well-being of children with limb differences through fun and impactful activities.
Tomorrow is International Women’s Day, and to celebrate we hosted an inspiring panel discussion on overcoming challenges impacting women in the workplace.
We were joined by Natalie Eastham, Managing Partner at Total Capital Partners, alongside some of our very own leaders:

Our Charity Committee organised a Valentine's bake sale to raise money for our charity of the year The LimbBo Foundation. We raised over £600, which took our total raised amount since October last year to over £5000!
This will help The LimbBo Foundation carry out their amazing work supporting children with limb differences.
