We’d love to see you at Heritage CPD. Our upcoming afternoon event at The Historic Dockyard Chatham. We believe that working with historic buildings is one of the most rewarding (and demanding) disciplines in our industry. It asks us to listen carefully to the past while building thoughtfully for the future. We’re excited to bring together some brilliant minds for an afternoon of talks, discussion and shared learning at one of England’s most extraordinary heritage sites. 📅 Thursday 21 May 2026 🕐 1:00pm – 5:00pm 📍 Chatham Historic Dockyard, Kent You’ll hear from leading practitioners on topics ranging from conservation philosophy and planning policy to working with listed structures and the materials that define them. There’ll be plenty of time for networking too. Places are limited, so if you’d like to join us, registration is open via the link in the bio. We hope to see you there! #ConservationArchitecture #BuiltHeritage #CPD #WalkerConstruction

Very proud of Matt for this one. 🙌 Yesterday, Matt spent his volunteering day at Downs View Infant School in Kennington, Ashford, setting up brand new outdoor play and camping areas before the new term starts. We give all our team members a volunteering day each year. This is a chance to get out into the community and make a real difference where it matters most to them. Matt spent the day building, setting up, and making sure everything was safe and ready for the children to enjoy after Easter break. To Matt and the team of volunteers at Downs View, hats off to you guys! 🏫📚 #EmployeeVolunteering #GivingBack #Community

“You are not alone.” Those simple words are stitched into every bag Jo sends out through Preloved Reloved Cancer & Beyond. A powerful reminder to anyone facing the overwhelming journey of cancer that someone cares. Back in February, The Walker Trust was humbled to donate £1,375 to help fill 50 of these care bags, each one packed with essential items to support patients through their treatment. Jo was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017, she endured chemotherapy, multiple surgeries, and radiotherapy. Now, nine years on from active treatment, Jo has turned her own experience into a mission to help others navigating the same difficult path. In 2021, Jo began collecting headscarves and chemo headwear to send to those suffering hair loss. Choosing scarves over wigs, they have become her signature look, a symbol of resilience and comfort. To date, she has sent out over 1,000 packages, and her work has grown to include other vital items for those undergoing treatment too. These packs are offered free of charge, with only a small request to cover postage and packaging. Because a cancer diagnosis is hard enough without the added worry of financial strain. Jo also supports patients using scalp cooling, or the ‘cold cap’ which is a proven treatment that helps hair grow back thicker and faster after chemo. Working with Paxman, she ensures each pack has everything needed for care during treatment. These packs are sent to local Kent hospitals and can be requested via social media. Jo’s goal is to provide every cold cap user with a care pack, reminding them they’re never alone. We are truly honoured to support Jo and Preloved Reloved Cancer & Beyond in this compassionate work, bringing comfort and kindness when it’s needed most.
