Texas Z Fest 2026 was a success! Had a lot of fun, maybe even too much fun Friday night 🤮 Saturday morning the car won 2nd place out of the 4 Z31 chassis in the show. 1st place went to the maroon 300zx parked in front of the house. Not butt hurt at all about that. Nahh.
Car drove flawlessly over the 500 miles we put on through our 3 days in Fredericksburg, TX.
@godzillaraceworks showed out and as a group we took home I think 4 trophies?
Onto the next!
Beau's 280z is no more. I feel like this car was part of myself as much as it was for Beau because of how much time I've spent with this car, and especially being in the car when the accident happened. Lots of late nights, big brain, small brain, and frustration with modified cars and this was no exception.
It's been a lot of fun participating in events with these two cars together. Most impactful was TX2K25 where we drove over 500 miles in a weekend. Incredible cars, make sure you drive yours.
Bought the unicorn engine for my Z31. JDM 300ZR engine and transmission with appx. 60,000km. This will be getting, cleaned up and pretty, and turbocharged! Long time before that happens though, still need to install the S14 subframe
Oh man, 10 years with my Ranger. First car when I was 15 and I've learned everything through this truck. I call it my rolling resume lol, been apart, fixed, broken. Sometimes all in the same day. Over 140k miles traveled and many more to go.
Next plans are to build an engine for it with a good cam so I can make the EPA upset after it turns 25 and doesn't have to pass emissions anymore
Truck definitely doesn't look the best anymore and it's pretty unfortunate, but that's what the Texas sun does. Needs some paint and some polish to get back to what I want it to be.
