"TOMWELL & THE WORK IN PROGRESS"

Permanently installed in the 9th floor of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde's Design + Arts Campus.
My biggest artwork ever (so far). Made over the course of 3* days while sick. 22 years encapsulated in 1 illustration.
Thank you Architect Gerry Torres, Dean Sharon Mapa, and the Center for Campus Art for giving me this opportunity to display my artwork in our school. I never thought it would be possible but here it is.
This artwork is a journal. My most personal, bare bones, and grandest all at once. Before having it printed big, I wrote a short story for it, reading:
“Tomwell is an imaginary paper bag boy, navigating through his own chaotic artistic journey, in search of a soul and style to make his life extraordinary. Set to make his newest work, he sits in the space of his fleeting mind, surrounded by the artifacts which shaped his life.
This artwork highlights the messy process and diverse inspirations behind many young artists like him. A piece that goes against the misconceptions of artmaking as something magical, linear, and/or content creation - the scene is a glimpse to the freedom of our human imperfections and stories, which contribute to truly unique experiences. And that as long as we keep living, it is all a work in progress.”
And with all that, I won't write a perfect finish for this. May we all keep creating and living, despite it all.

2024 Year of the Huwakin !!!
I got to fully be a jack of all trades artist (+ graduated too finally free) this year, real blessed & super grateful for all the opportunities & stuff
So many firsts. Mow's gig with our band @foollstop . Art boothing at gigs & big cons. Got my artwork exhibited across places. Got a big mural in benilde (will never shut up about it). Writer & creative at @sinegangdotph . Thesis film & merch commissions. Cinemalaya & my starring film being shown in the big screen. And much more i can't even put all of it.
The last years were rough and uneventful, so this one is a big deal for me. I failed a lot just to get started on the right foot. Now I know art is where my light is.
If you're seeing this, then you're part of how I got here. You all inspire & motivate me in so many ways. Thank you to all of u.
